slo's Sunday poll - peanut butter sandwichs

This is inspired by my conversation with Pop Daddy yesterday about how we eat our peanut butter sandwichs.


How do you eat your peanut butter sandwichs?

I eat mine several ways, so you can cast multiple votes for this poll.

I like fluffernutters
I like peanut butter with jelly (grape only)
I like peanut butter on one side of bread unfolded (when I'm in a hurry)
I like both creamy and chunky peanut butter

We only use jam so I voted other because jelly is NOT the same to us. It's a spreadable issue, lol. My boys will only eat smooth, JIF, no other brand, and Welch's, no other brand, grape jam. They are pita's, yes indeed. We tried those frozen Smuckers that Disney sells and my kids threw them in the trash.

Is jam the same as jelly? I only like raspberry jam with my peanut butter and on white bread. My kids won't touch the stuff. Was hoping when they went to school I could send this but no. Plus there are to many peanut allergies.

With jelly, jam or preserves. Usually strawberry, but I love blackberry too.

With jelly-depends on what we have but I like guava, raspberry, and blueberry the best.
Or sometimes with butter. I like to toast it, and spread on the peanut butter and butter on when it comes out so that it melts all over the toast.

My DS9's favorite sandwich...and he took this to school just about every day...is PB+fluff+american cheese!

The other 2 DSs are more traditional, PBJ or PB+honey.


Now they've discovered the joy of Nutello, so they've been adding that in, too.

Wow, the american cheese on pb and fluff is rather hard to imagine. Can I ask just how does one spread fluff? Obviously, it's very popular since it has it's own name (I assume that is a fluffernutter) but I have a heck of a time just getting fluff out of the jar to make fudge.

Wow, eveyone likes creamy. The crunchier the peanut butter the better for me. Same with the jelly (lots of rasberry seeds or chunky strawberries on my sandwich). The kids are totally opposite to me though.

You just have to get a big ol gob of it on the knife! If you try to use just a little, you'll tear the bread!

For the poll - I eat PB all of the ways above. Creamy spread on stuff and Crunchy on a spoon. Jif is the best, second is natural.

I also eat it on cut up apples, celery, waffles, pancakes & on Mother's oatmeal cookies. Yum!

Apricot or strawberry jam, creamy or smooth PB, wheat or white. I haven't had any PB for 5-10 years(unless the inside of Reese's counts).

toast in the am is one slice not folded..maybe butter, maybe jam...

sandwiches..usually one slice folded with jam, marmalade, or honey....once in a while made with Aunt Jemima waffles instead of bread....I also forgot nutella, DD does this all the timebut I rarely use it..prefer to save the Nutella to make cookies....no Fluff here, we're vegetarian....
