Rather than trying to rack my brains I thought I'd pick yours!

DH is in the hospital at the moment after having a hernia fixed (I guess fixed is the word). He is due home at the end of the week and needs to be on a sloppy food diet for 3 weeks :scared1:

Does anyone have any experience of this? I know he can have smoothies, soups and omlettes (sp?) but beyond that I am not feeling inspired

Cheers

Im rubbish at cooking Jo, so I dont have any advice on that, but just wanted to wish your DH all the best and hope he gets well soon:hug:

natural yogurt with pureed fruit for breakie, or porridge
soups, or very finally minced beef bolognese or perhaps mashed potato, pureed cauliflower and broccolli in cheese sauce for lunch or dinner
rice pudding, spicy apple sauce, mousse or a nice home made ice cream or sorbet for pud?

How about cottage pie or fish pie?

Claire ;)

Stews are good and you can change them a lot with different veggies.

How about Shepherd's Pie, Chilli, Tacos, Lamb Shanks.

Jo ~ Hope your DH recovers quickly:hug:

Wishing your DH a speedy recovery. If you shop on line take a look through their ready meals, you may find something suitable or get some inspiration to reproduce it at home :grouphug:

Thanks for the good wishes and the food ideas. He is due home tomorrow so I'll be able to show him a new much improved menu!

He's doing OK and it seems that he can now eat chocolate again :cool1: (it gave him chest pains prior to the op:scared1: )
