I'm between #3 and #4, Big at times, more somewhat others. Biggest chance I took was in my career. I was a Mechanical Engineer and getting kind of burned out when my company approached me about moving into Sales. It was a requirement that you needed to have an engineering degree to work in sales, as it was more of a problem solving, assisting customers in design, than a basic sales position. It wasn't something I had ever considered and after thinking about it and discussing with my wife I took the leap. One of the best decisions I made. I loved the job and got to travel the world and built up a good reputation in the field as someone that could solve problems and create solutions.
Biggest non career thing I ever did was go skydiving. Not really a big fan of heights but some of my friends were going and I gave in to peer pressure (was in my early 20's). That was a one and done!!!
