It is edible but not something I buy. I have used it in place of rice for chicken rice bowls. I seasoned it with lime and butter and salt. It was ok but I don't feel like I will do it again any time soon.

Cauliflower carriers flavor. If you prep it with no flavor, you tend to get the equivalent of chewy, bland grits.

That said, I LOVE to cook with cauliflower. But I don't eat it riced b/c I love rice, and rice works best for rice vs riced cauilflower (ie - you're always disappointed plain riced cauliflower does not taste like plain rice for your dish).

If it were me, next time, I'd make fried rice with the riced cauliflower...since you won't run into the gummy problem fresh rice can give you, it may give you a happier memory of the product...

It's pretty good mashed, with butter and seasoning -- we mix it 50/50 or so with mashed potatoes.

I've had it and it was o.k. but I won't go out of my way to buy it again for home. If it comes in a dish at a restaurant that I really want I'm o.k. with it. I love cauliflower by the way, I eat it raw, I eat it just boiled, I eat it roasted with a little salt and Pam on it. I rarely eat it with cheese since I'm not supposed to eat a lot of fat and I like to reserve my cheese for some good non-processed cheese or non-cheddar cheese.

I’ve made a pizza crust out of riced cauliflower once but that’s the only time I’ve had it. It was just ok.

I love cauliflower, but don't care for rice. I don't like my veggies tasting like mush, and that's what it tasted like to me

Sauté in a pan with a little EVOO, garlic powder or minced garlic. You can use a little soy sauce. I even put red pepper flake in mine because I like a little spice. If you season it with things you like, the taste will grow on you. very good alternative to white starches like rice and pasta. Give it another try

I’ve used it as a substitute for rice in a saucy dish and liked it fine. Rest of my family was not so impressed, but my DH, in particular, loves rice and hates vegetables so not really a surprise that he didn’t like it.

I do not enjoy plain riced cauliflower as a side. Now if it is mixed/hidden with other ingredients it's ok. I will use it in stuffed peppers or as a base for orange chicken.

I use it to mix half and half with real rice! Then as a base for a stir fry or chili, or whatever you would normally serve over rice.

It works well as a rice substitute if you "rice" it yourself with a food processer and then saute it. But to reheat from frozen? Ugh...just is too mushy and too much water for me.

I think it's fine, but I like cauliflower in general. I do not consider it as a replacement for actual rice though and if I want rice I will have rice, so I usually don't get riced cauliflower.

Don't care for it. Looks and tastes like mush when riced. I guess some use it as a sub for something like mashed potatoes. I like it raw when cutup in a salad or as a side dish when blanched.

Never had it alone. Usually make it in dishes that have some sort of sauce, usually just a can of cream of mushroom soup.

I can take it or leave it...I prefer roasted or mashed cauliflower if I'm going to have it

I love it. I try to eat low net carb. I grate fresh cauliflower and use it in place of rice in fried rice, Spanish rice, stuffed peppers. I do not like the bagged frozen stuff.

We have tried all the cauliflower rice that Costco stocks. Just not a fan. The fried cauliflower rice in the frozen section is better. The Kirkland brand cauliflower crust pizza is outstanding. It is a staple in our house.

Have you had riced cauliflower?
If yes…..what is your opinion of it?

For Me…..I made it for the first time this week and we did not like it :sad2:
My DH actually hated it, but he still choked it down. I told him to leave it, but watching him grumble while eating it made for a pretty humorous meal - LOL!
I have one more pouch of it (shown below), so I have a question for others that make this - Do you add anything to this? We ate it straight out of the pouch. Should I add a little butter and salt? Please share what you do - thanks!

I think it really depends on the brand and how you use it. I use it to make chicken fried rice… cook on high heat(wok style) add some chicken breast that I pre-cooked and a splash of coconut aminos(soy sauce). Done …that’s my meal, couldn’t be easier and it’s great. I prefer Trader Joe’s riced cauliflower over a few others
