DD uses an iPad. We have multiple others hidden around the house that are rarely used. My laptop is also a hybrid that can be used in tablet mode.

My kids each have a cheap Fire tablet that they are allowed to use on road trips, I load movies on to them.

I do not personally use a tablet, I need a real computer for most things I do.

I also use a large screen Samsung phone.
I have to add that I can now comfortably view and use the dis board on my phone, with NONE of the super proliferation of view blocking and moving ads. :cool1: Adding the Firefox browser as an alternate browser to my usual Chrome makes viewing and using soooo much better. Thanks to @Imzadi for that tip. I just have the FF icon on my app screen, using it only for this board. Everything else is Chrome.

We have two working iPads (mine and DH's) plus a really old one that I need to find out how to recycle.

DH also has a small Kindle, but I think it's the old "just e-book reader" kind, not a full tablet?

(I access the DIS alternately on our desktop, my iPad, and my iPhone.)

I have a tablet. I don't generally USE it, though. I really thought I'd use it more than I do.

DH uses his all the time.

No, none here. After my kids using them K-12, I realized how much I hated them :rolleyes1
Give my a TV, a phone, or a desktop (not even a fan of laptops, though I have one)

Tablets, there are two in my house. My wife has one and my younger son has one. If you are including Kindles there are two more. I and my older son have Kindle Paperwhites. For the most part we are a Chromebook family, we have 6 Chromebooks in the house for a family of four.
I totally forgot about my Kindle Paperwhite - I’m so glad you posted about it.
How could I forget this? :confused3 I use it every night.
So….I guess we have 6 in the house 🙂👍🏻

Nobody in my house has a tablet. We have phones and laptops (which are not used often anymore).

My dad has a tablet which he uses more than his phone, as it's larger and easier to read for him.

You can take it to any Apple Store or Best Buy and they will recycle for you. Just make sure you completely wipe it and remove your ID.

I have the first iPad mini, which is primarily used for reading or web surfing where I don’t want to risk my other tablet, like a beach vacation. I love the size of the Mini. I also have an iPad Pro that gets used a lot, several hours per day while I am looking for work. I just got the iPhone 14 Pro Max in September, and I think it will be a good size replacement for the Mini when the tablet quits working. However, for now, it’s still doing OK other than no longer receiving updates from Apple.

I did lose my two old iPhones recently though, a 4s I was using as an alarm clock and a 6 that I replaced with the 14. Both developed battery issues the same week, and I just don’t feel it’s worth replacing them again due to the age of the devices. I expect to have a similar issue with the Mini at some point, since it still has the original battery, but I would probably replace it once since it’s not that expensive.

You forgot to mention adding Firefox and installing an adblocker to remove seeing all the annoying ads is what makes the difference. :thumbsup2 :surfweb:

I have an iPad, that I mostly use for watching videos/movies, and for when I FaceTime or Zoom people. Otherwise, I mostly use my iPhone and old desktop computer. DH also has 2 iPhones and 2 laptops, one of each for work and for personal use.

Oh yes as for reading I have a Kobo. I don't want to take an iPad to bed to read each night. I prefer an e-reader.

I have this cheap Android tablet that I got because it had a full keyboard. It's pretty old now and I just never used it much. I don't see the need to get a newer one as it just doesn't suite my needs that much. I've got a beefy desktop that I favor, and my phone too. I don't really need anything else other than my Nintendo Switch!

I use my iPad for everything. Sometimes I need DH and his computer when I need something printed.

I have a Kindle Fire tablet I use to stream under one of my monitors when I’m working from home. A regular Kindle I use for reading and an IPad I use just for note taking for work.

My son and I each have an Ipad...although mine was the one my husband and son use to link to our Bowflex exercise machine(medieval torture device if you ask me) and someone dropped it so I will need a new one eventually lol

Oh yes, forgot that. The FF ad blocker (not available for Chrome) needs to be added to effectively block all ads. Thanks for the follow-up, @Imzadi. Just like a Knicks player (or Bulls) following up for that slam dunk after a miss by the other player.

DH and I both have iPads, plus I have an older one I never use. Was going to clean it up and give it to the grandkids. Youngest DD is a sophomore in college and asked for the iPad pro and pencil for Christmas. I got that for her, that is all she is getting! She's a journalism major so I'm sure it will get used in her classes.

We don't have a kitchen tv so if I'm doing a lot of prep work I'll use my iPad and stream something on it, but I don't use it as much as I used to.
