This is a topic, that I’m assuming, we all have in common. I‘m going to guess we all use some type of deodorant, but we all don’t use the same type of deodorant. There’s so many out there that it can make your head spin when trying to find a new one. So I ask today….

Do you use a deodorant, antiperspirant or both together?
Is your product regular strength or a clinical strength?
What type is your product?
(m.c.)

*If you use something special because of a health issue or allergy, please post what it is and why you use it. We have a lot of people that use these polls as a reference to help them - thanks!

*If you do not wear deodorant, please vote “other” - I didn’t have enough poll answers to include it - thanks!

For Me…….I don’t use anything special - I’m not a big sweater. Most times I’m glad to not be a big sweater, but when I’m at the gym and working out hard without a drip of sweat, it’s kinda annoying - its satisfying to see some swear when you’re working out hard - LOL! Below ⬇️ is my deodorant & antiperspirant together, it’s a solid and unscented - I only use unscented.

I’ve used secret for decades I like the gel I get the unscented it’s hard to find they make so many scents
I used to take a medication that prevented me from sweating which was not nice but I don’t take that anymore but I still hardly sweat
You’d be very surprised and shocked to know how many people don’t use deodorant at all ever there’s a lot people I’m not saying it’s right I’m not saying it’s wrong I’m just saying there’s a lot of people

I use either Lady Speed Stick or Dove either powder fresh or cucumber and for both brands I get the stick deodorant.

I’m not an exertion/heat sweater, but stress can do a number. :o

I use Dove cucumber melon during the summer (such a fresh and cool scent) and Degree shower-fresh in the winter. As a little secret pick-me-up I also have a tube (is that the right word?) of Irish Spring Speed-Stick deodorant that I’ll use occasionally. The scent is very familiar and invigorating. :goodvibes I’ve actually gotten compliments on my “perfume”.

I've been using 100% all-natural deodorants for years -they're more money but they generally last a little longer and the ones I've found work. Never been into the anti-perspirant thing ...I mean, it's a natural function that serves an important purpose -why prevent it at the risk of health?

I use degree deodorant. While I sweat a little, I feel like when I use antiperspirant I don’t have as fresh a smell. I’d rather have a little sweat, than a little smell.

For a while I used both. I shower in the evening and would put on an antiperspirant, then in the morning getting ready for work I’d use deodorant. It worked very well, not sure why I quit doing it honestly.

Was speedstick for years and more recently went to Dove - because we all just need a change sometimes … never looking back on this one :)

My main deodorant is Secret Outlast Clear Gel. It truly lasts for 48 hours, even with workouts and sitting outside in the oppressive heat, which is the main reason I like it. Shower Fresh or Completely Clean are my go-to scents.

I do use a secondary deodorant for other spots. I had tried Lume, since there are ads everywhere for it and lots of glowing reviews, but it did not live up to the hype. It smelled horrible...like the funk I was trying to prevent mixed with incense...and it didn't last. NOTE- I've tried to post honest reviews on the product and my reviews either get taken down or are never posted. In that vein, my kids had tried Native since they have really sensitive skin and wanted something that could be used in other areas. Native wasn't good at preventing traditional BO (switched them to a clinical product called Uriage- great for sensitive skin and sweaty athletes), but Native seems to work on all of the things Lume claimed it would do but didn't. So, I'm currently using Native Lavender & Rose as a secondary.

I use the same as Slo. I can’t use any scent because it gives me a headache. I tired a cocoa butter one when the store was out of unscented thinking it would be okay because I use cocoa butter lotion but NOPE headache all day.

Gillette Clear Shield Gel. Anti-p and deodorant. Some light scent, don't know the name. Pleasant. It works fine.

When first starting with using, back in 50's, used Ban rollon. Then in teens and 20s and 30's, various sprays. Now the gel for many, many years.

I have a Degree antiperspirant deodorant at the moment. I'm not super picky, I buy what's on sale when I need it.
I did try the Dove aluminum free stuff last year and really didn't like it. It made my armpits really slippery and I think it made me smell weird. I couldn't even bring myself to use it up.

Yes - this is the same for me - 100%

If anyone has a suggestion I should try, let me know. I use mostly Degree or Secret solid which are fine but feel like I need something stronger for summertime. I tried to go aluminum-free with Arm & Hammer gel stick, but in the summertime it just doesn't do the job as far as odor prevention goes, so I gave up on it unless it is January/February. I tried a clinical strength roll on that actually worked really well, but I think I was allergic to it or something, because anytime I used it my under arms itched constantly to the point of irritation so I stopped using that too. I heard Lume might be good but seems so pricey. Thoughts?
