I used a semi-permanent color for 25-30 years and have recently made the decision to let my hair go back to its natural color. The semi-permanent color is more permanent than I thought it would be, since after several months a lot of the color is still there. Except at the temples where my hair is almost white, it looks like my hair is salt and pepper with more pepper. The new grayish growth is, thankfully, blending in well with the colored hair and I don’t have glaringly obvious roots. I am just tired of the maintenance required and I look the same age whether my hair is colored or not.
