What‘s your opinion about wallpaper?
How many rooms do you have with wallpaper?
(multiple choice)

*poll is for actual wallpaper - not borders - I’ll do that topic another time.

For Me…..I don‘t mind wallpaper. I currently don’t have any rooms with wallpaper, but we once did. DD25’s nursery was all wallpaper and was so awesome - I loved that room. I do use wallpaper border in current rooms, but I’ll discuss that another day 🙂

I have it in my upstairs bathrooms and it is too much of a pain to take it down and do something else. They are very Art Deco anyway. The house was built in the 30s and I like the style, so I have not updated the bathrooms.

I hate it.
I have wallpaper in my kitchen and one of my washrooms.
My summer goal is to strip the wallpaper in my kitchen. I’m running out of time. Lol.

It depends where you live - if you’re by me then you’re running out of time - LOL!
There are some horrific wallpapers. My mom recently bought a house that everything, except for the ceilings were wallpapered - it was unreal. It was a huge undertaking to have it removed - she hired someone to do it.
Good luck with your project - it is a lot of work.

We had wallpaper in the past but it is all gone now. The oldest wallpaper in our house was wallpaper from the 50's in the staircase to the basement. It had cowboys and horses and was kind of cute. But we finally took it down. :)

Don't care for it and have no rooms with wallpaper. I think it is fine for an accent wall but you tend to get tired of bold/loud patterns and a LOT of work to remove/change. If the wall gets damaged you can't repair like you would with some spackling/paint. TV design shows seem big on wallpaper but they don't care how long it lasts, how easy it is to take care of and likely in 5 yrs then would like to return to put up something else.

With paint, if you want to update a room, you simply buy a new color and paint it.

We bought a house 22 years ago that had wallpaper (either full walls or borders) in almost every room. It is still in the kitchen, laundry room and garage (yes, the garage). The kitchen paper needs to go, but I like what’s in the laundry room. The garage paper is hideous, but not sure I care enough to remove it.

I’ve seen some gorgeous wallpaper, but I’m not sure I want to deal with any more of it.

My house came with wallpaper in 3 rooms, kitchen, dining room and DS13's room. It's fine. I like it, but I'm going to have to replace it eventually. It's looking a little rough in the kitchen and dining room.

I don’t really mind it, but after having to remove it from a couple rooms I’ll never put it up. It was such a pain to take down. Even the newer in style glued on backsplashes I won’t use because I feel when it’s time to upgrade it it’s going to be too much of a pain.

I don't like it at all.......don't want it. Will never have it
DS's first house had it in a couple of rooms, the first thing we did was take it down....and what a pain that was!

The house I live in was my parent’s house. It was built at a time when doing wallpaper halfway up the wall, topped by a border, was popular. Fortunately Mom only did it in the powder room and their ensuite bathroom. I don’t have an opinion on it either way (neither one is an in-your-face pattern) but I would not put up wallpaper myself.

I don't mind it on the walls, but taking it down sucks. So we have none in my house.

I do not have any wallpaper in my home but I don't hate it. I have seen some lovely accent walls with wallpaper.

The only issue I would have is that it could go out of style quickly, and wallpaper is a pain in the butt to remove.

Many years ago we had it in the kitchen and Natalie's and Vince's rooms when they were kids. Those are gone now, just paint. We do have a very subtle wallpaper on either side of the living room fireplace wall. Marie says that will come down, some day.

I said I somewhat like it. I'm fine with it. Ours is very subtle, not time stamped. One room, partial at that.

Ugh, our kitchen had old wallpaper when we moved in. We didn’t have time to deal with it then, and it got older and uglier as time passed. Lat year we finally hired someone to scrape it and paint. So much nicer now!
