First….thank you to @PollyannaMom for the fill-in polls ❤️

When staying at a hotel, do you put your clothes in the hotel drawers?

For Me…..I have in the past if I’m going to be there for awhile, but I put a towel down first - I don’t want my clothes touching the drawers :crazy2:. This is coming from someone that also won’t touch my bare feet to the hotel floor:crazy2:. The majority of my hotel stays are pretty short, so I just keep everything in my bag or suitcase.

*Inspiration for today’s poll is me not putting my clothes in drawers at my recent hotel stay.

You're welcome! So many of us make your polls part of our morning routines, its the least I could do to pitch in.

As for today's -
If it's just a couple of nights, I'll live out of my suitcase, but if I'm going to be there for a week, I wipe out the drawers with an antibacterial wipe and use them.

If I’m only staying for a night or 2, no.
If I’m staying for a week or more definitely.
I inspect the drawers first, give it a wipe, and unpack.

If for some reason I’ve forgotten about the existence of bed bugs and it’s a longer stay, I might.

Most of the time yes - but most of the times I’m at Disney - rarely go anywhere else - got to use those DVC points !! 🤣🤣🤣 - if it’s a night or two somewhere else - no - use my packing cubes - yes I’m one of those peeps ❤️

No, Never, Gross. Irrational fear of bed bugs. Love my RV.

Actually, we're getting ready for a week long stay in Puerto Rico at a time share resort in a 1 bedroom villa with a full kitchen. Was just telling DH how I'm immediately heading to Walmart when we get there and buying Lysol wipes because the MONKEYPOX. Oh jeez. Horrified.

Only place I ever unpack into drawers is a cruise, by the end all the dirty clothes are back in the suitcase under the bed.

Most times we are only in a hotel a night or 2 so don’t bother.

I also can’t stand everything out and around in the cabin or hotel room.

So far I'm the only 100% vote. We put stuff in drawers and hang things in the closet. Part of this is because DW and I share luggage, so all of our stuff is pretty much in one bag. She hates when I go digging through the suitcase messing up her nicely folded clothes.

We use the drawers all the time, too. I hate digging through the suitcase for things. It messes things up.

I will say that most of our trips are to WDW. Last month we traveled to a wedding where we stayed at a motel of questionable standards, we did not use the drawers there, but we were only there to sleep and hit the road the following morning.

This, exactly. I don’t think we’ve ever had a prolonged hotel stay - if we did, I might consider it but it’s easy enough just to lay the suitcase out, open, on a luggage rack and work out of it. No room to do that on a cruise ship, so we unpack, even if it’s just on a 4-night. I must say though, it’s never occurred to me to scrub out the drawers or be concerned about cooties of any kind. :confused3 I’m also one of those reckless types that touch elevator buttons and use the remote control without a plastic baggie, so there’s that.

I also cannot go barefoot in hotels. My daughter made funny of me the last trip we took because while traveling I had Birkenstock Sandals on. Going through the airport I had to take my shoes off and was walking on the airport floor barefoot. She said how did you do that but wont go barefoot in the hotel?!?!?

I never do. I'm one of those people that will live in my suitcase the entire trip no matter how long I'm staying there for. It's not even because of bed bugs (never crossed my mind). I'm just too lazy to move my clothes lol I will hang dresses up if I bring them but that's about it.
