What about Doctor Who day?

Nope, not into Star Wars at all, though DS is and I wished him a happy 4th. He’s going to a SW trivia event tonight.

I like Star Wars but don't love it. I have some friends who are really into it, I expect they'll have a fun day today. I do have some other hobbies I'm passionate about so I can appreciate the fandom aspect of Star Wars fans.

We started celebrating in 2020. It something to add a little joy to our lives at the time. I happened to have vanilla ice cream and blue food coloring, so a tradition of 'blue milk' shakes was born. We also wear Star Wars t-shirts and usually watch a movie--though this year it might be a few episodes of clone wars to try to bring DH up-to-speed before Ahsoka.

Because my wife insists on it, I have seen all the movies and I am amazed Star Wars is still a "thing".
My wife and I did not know each other yet in 1977 when the first Star Wars came out. We were in the same town, she was working at a theater that was packed, I was a reporter and went to three Press screenings the first week it was out in a theater a few miles away with about 20 people per showing.
Although judging from what is happening in the Disney parks and Disney cruise line, Star Wars may finally be fading.

Let's see, I worked the SW weekends at DHS and also worked hundreds of SW dessert parties at DHS where I got to meet Dan Murphy a couple of times. I did a Disney SW cruise and I got to walk through or by Galaxy's Edge during it's entire construction, but no, I won't be celebrating.

No celebration here. My DH is more of a fan than me but not enough to celebrate.

Dunno. My husband LOVES The Mandalorian, and enjoyed the Book of Boba Fett series.

I do love Star Wars, but I don't celebrate. Empire Strike Back was the first movie I saw in the Theater but I saw Star Wars before that in the Drive-in so they will always have a special place in my heart.

I love little holidays like this! :goodvibes

I'm busy getting ready for an unrelated event this weekend, so I didn't really do anything for today other than wearing a "Baby Yoda" T-shirt (and matching socks). I do own a Darth Vader snack tray, though, so maybe I'll use it to serve dinner tonight. :scratchin
