I'm going to Philadelphia to go to the Halal Food Festival with my friend later this month and later this week I'm going to see the new Beetlejuice movie with a few friends in my local area but other than that, not really doing much this month. I'm slowly but surely preparing for my huge vacation to Japan in November though.

This will be the first September that hasn't meant cross country meets. My kids ran, and mye in nieces ran. One of my nieces also ran in college so we'd usually go try to see her if the meet was anywhere within driving distance... but she's "retired" too and that frees up a lot of time.

My son's birthday is late in the month, and we've got concert tickets for late in the month too. We'll probably do some home improvements too (start fall cleanup... also, our air conditioner failed last week on the hottest day -- fortunately, it was fixable, but it's 21 years old and the furnace is the same, so it's probably time to look at getting those replaced while it's not an emergency situation.)

We have little to no Sept plans, except for work.
DH is often very busy, it's the end of the fiscal year for the govt, and he always has a lot of cases to get through.
I have to give a presentation, and I'm beyond nervous about it. I hate public speaking, and not tech savvy, just wish I hadn't been voluntold, and could get out of it.
Middle of the 9 wks for my son w school, nothing big that we know of.
We do have quite a bit of October plans: MIL/FIL birthdays, trip to Disney/Universal, fall break, decorating for Halloween, usually around the first week.
well, we are looking at new cars, so that might happen this month, so I guess that's something.

I will have to do some yard work and finish up my painting project that was put on hiatus after my arm started having issues. I also plan to go on an overnight trip to visit some breweries a few hours away at the end of the month. I will also hopefully get into see the specialist for nerve testing on my arm.

September starts a busy fall for us. Grandkids start school so will be doing the drop off/pickups most days, three of them start soccer and all four will be in Learn to Skate. Pool cover goes on next weekend, closing down the pool deck and covering everything for the winter, start fall yard work. Anniversary on the 15th (45th) and then vacation to CA at the end of the end of the month to visit my sister. Going to the Patriots vs 49ers game with my niece and her husband on the 29th at So-Fi stadium.

Centreville, MD: September 28-October 7 (visit with my mother)
Good time of year for crabs around here! And there’s a decent new place at the Narrows…Dockhouse? Boathouse? at the boatel that’s not bad.
Husband is planting turnips and getting ready for hunting season. We are taking one of the boats down to my folks place in Ft Myers at the end of the month. Getting patio area around new pool poured this week then I’ll start exploring Getting it covered up for winter. We will be mowing till probably November So nothing much changing on that score for about 8 weeks.

DD's birthday on the 23rd; she'll be 31, and where has the time gone? Days crawl by, years fly! This is the month that we are really buckling down to get their house finished up so they can move in, but it means a lot of cleaning, painting, packing, etc. It's a TON of work, but worth it for everyone (even though I'll miss them like crazy)!

Also classes at UMaine start 9/3, so I go back to teaching/working tomorrow morning! :scared:

We are retired so all months pretty much the same! I will be solo in Orlando toward the end of the month. We have a concert - blues guy, small venue, should be good. Church events for me are year-round, dinner at the homeless shelter every month, choir starts again after the summer.

I'm back to school so that always means everything else happens too. ::yes:: Let's see...
1. Roof replacement was just completed.
2. New sliding door & basement window ordered; waiting on installation.
3. Calling the Gutter Co. this week for new gutters & guards.
4. Terracing the side yard to prevent erosion (was a Summer project - decided to wait for Fall temps)

We're still ahead of the curve for these "retirement prep" projects so it's still good. DH has his second cataract surgery next Monday... and I think that's all the medical stuff for the year. At least I hope!

I'm going on vacation with my Dad to my cousin's wedding in Oregon. We are meeting my brother and SIL there.

The wedding is going to be a pagan handfasting ceremony on a beach. The suggested attire is "magical." I'm going as a mermaid and Dad is going as Uncle Sam. How is Uncle Sam magical? Dad already owns the hat! I'm looking forward to this very much! I get to meet two new cousins at this wedding... the bride and my other cousin's wife. The latter lives in Japan and got married in Hawaii a couple years ago.

When we get home, it'll be my birthday.

Oh gosh...I couldn't check any of the boxes. Nothing happening in September that I can think of. This month I start squirreling money away for the WDW trip we have planned for December 2025, so any 'entertainment' bucks I have left to me will be going to that fund for the foreseeable future. I don't mind.

My son's 11th birthday is this month. Though we don't do anything too crazy. Just presents and dessert with us and my parents.

There is an Autism Night at the zoo so we'll probably do that.

We will buy a season pass to a local pumpkin patch and try to go a lot in September and October.

Other than that, just planning to hang out at home. Get some organization done while my son is at school. Read some books. Hopefully enjoy some cooler weather out on the patio with the fire pit.

Also just want to have a low-spending month because last month we had a couple large purchases plus had to spend a lot of money on some house stuff.

Yes! She lives in Symphony Village - 55+ community. We're actually doing errands that week -- lawyer for her will/estate, going to NJ to visit my father's grave, and then I think we'll drive back down through Cape May and take the ferry back down on a road trip -- probably staying in Cape May for a couple of days.

Philadelphia Phillies game on September 14.

Big E (Eastern States Exhibition) and Six Flags New England weekend of September 21-22.

Harvest Festival September 28.

We leave for vacation on the 8th. Going to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. We have a cabin rented for the 9th, for a week, with our daughter and son-in-law. Can’t wait to spend time with them. Then after the cabin and they go home, we have 3 more nights in a condo.

DH’s birthday is the 14th, he is trying to decide where we’ll all go for dinner. And our 49th wedding anniversary is the 27th. Hoping to go somewhere nice for dinner, but it looks like it might be an early harvest on the farm this year so we might have to postpone.

Two kids started school today. I'm home this weekend for the only time this month. Business trip next weekend, camping the following weekend, then another business trip to FL for the World Championships the last weekend. Wife is meeting me down there for a 15th wedding anniversary trip at WDW, where we went on our honeymoon.
