Before I got out of bed this morning I was thinking about all the stuff I have to do this month - September is always a busy time. I’m sure I’m not the only with a lot to do this month. So tell us…..

What do you have going on this month?
(multiple choice)

For Me…..I start winterizing the yard this month (I hate doing this when it’s cold out), cover the pool for winter, decorate for Halloween, give DD21 her birthday party in a few weeks, little Otis starts puppy kindergarten and some other things too. My church is celebrating 150 years and they are having lots of activities I’m looking forward to. We’re going to a festival today and another next weekend. One thing I don’t have this September are softball games now that DD21 has retired. So getting everything done will be quicker and easier than in the past 13 years.

We have lots to do this month!
Sister’s birthday, DCL Cruise, Halloween party at MK, Food and Wine at Epcot, yard and pond work, church activities, and Family Weekend at St. Anselm’s College in Manchester NH.

I am very involved in my synagogue and there are services, activities, and meetings for committees I am on. My DH and I are in a few monthly Mah Jongg groups. We are also huge sports fans so there are still MLB games to attend and now NFL games. Today we are attending our local renaissance fair. We already went to our state fair last weekend but it continues the next few weeks.

Other - My activities always are medical lol. I have a ct scan, an mri, a pcp visit and an orthopedic oncologist visit and we watch one of our sons dogs every Sunday for a while.

There is a lot happening in Septembers. Today is my BFFs birthday, we will be harvesting potatoes, starting the garden break down, start to prep the yard for fall/winter, put up fall display, going to 2 weddings, going on vacation, start my fall canning, going to a few fairs, and hopefully hit a few more seafood shacks and farmers markets before they close for the season.

Happy September! It is always a busy month, but one of my favorites! I love the weather and the changing leaves. Our biggest event is our vacation to Disney World at the end of the month! Seems like we've been counting down forever, and now it's almost here! So excited!

DH is having surgery Friday.
Then the 22nd we leave for an Alaska cruise.
Today the family comes for lunch and pool time.

Recovery will take awhile and the vacation will be nice......and then we get back to Halloween decorating and more doctor appointments

DD21 has retired.
Will Katie be involved at all in post school ball? She sure has had a great 'career'!

For me, the usual doctor appointments scattered here and there. Christopher's birthday in a few days. 15 now. :faint: In the kids' pictures below, he's the second from the left in the little kids picture, far right in last year's picture. For Marie and me, our 53rd anniversary on the 11th. Cataract surgery on 1st eye toward the end of the month. 2nd one will be next month.

Best wishes for Dave, @Meriweather.

I’m on short term disability from work until around the end of the month so I’m not doing a whole lot besides numerous doctors appointments. My sister is coming to visit mid month which will be nice we haven’t seen each other since our mom passed away in Dec 2020.

3 baby showers this month, including hosting one.

Sprucing up the home for the shower

Fall decorating which will be part of the decor for the shower

:banana:September is my FAVORITE month of all; the weather here is glorious this time of year and having grown up on a farm, harvest was always a happy time. From my own school years and when DS was little, the de facto "start" of each year was September with back to school. I miss that, actually. :goodvibes

Our anniversary is in September so we always do our major annual vacation this month, and we'll be leaving for a cruise in two weeks. Vacation always means extra time/effort at the office for me during the preceding weeks and there are a number of big projects I need to finish and things to put in place for the supervision of my staff while I'm gone. Busy!!

A lot of things at church start up again this month after having been on break for the summer. A few of the ministries we're active in will be ramping up while we're gone so I'm sure we'll be volun-told what we're doing as soon as we're back.

There's a "Broadway on Tour" production of a play we've been longing to see that makes it's local run this month. We've got great seats and I'm very excited about that.

If schedules allows, we'll do some low-key entertaining while we are still able to enjoy time out on our terrace. The summer planters are nearing being bloomed-out and it's almost time to switch them out for fall mums but I'm hoping to avoid that until we get back nearer the end of the month.

Most of this month will involve vacation time for me. I'm soon heading down south for a long camping trip and plan to get home just before Thanksgiving. Nothing much else planned.

House and yard work prep. Steam clean/mop the tile floors, get some iron/fertilizer for the lawn.

Leaving for a work trip on Wednesday (they pay for hotel during the meetings, it's out-of-pocket for me the rest of the time, as well as the transportation). Staying an extra 3 nights to visit with family and to attend another meeting Monday.

Chicago: September 4-9 (return on the 9th)
Washington DC: September 27-28 (speaking at a conference)
Centreville, MD: September 28-October 7 (visit with my mother)

Right now: recuperating from a weekend of grandkids and cousins. Its so much fun having them but my lungs do have to "refill" as I call it afterwards.

My middle DS will be coming in for a few days next week from Charleston SC.

DH has another long weekend fishing trip scheduled for later this month.

And enjoying my annuals has long as I can this month as the weather changes. :daisy:

We have a wedding and some family entertainment stuff going on this Sept. I am just calling this October Jr because I am really in the mood for some fall!

September and October are crazy busy, and I love it. DS15 plays high school soccer and has 2-3 games a week. DS17 runs cross country so that takes up a good chunk of every Saturday. Next weekend I will decorate for fall. In 2 weeks I’m hosting the 25 boys on the cross country team for a Friday night spaghetti dinner. Numerous festivals. Going on a quick Disney trip, and 2 college visits.

As little as possible. My wife's last day at her temporary part time job ended last Wednesday. And the last three months have been chaos as we helped our daughter get her house ready to sell, get rid of most of her worldly possessions including her car as she moved to Germany to go to school for 3 1/2 years
So to be honest we are just going to chill other than attending a Celebration of Life for a former co-worker of mine, a lunch with some of my wife's former co-workers, Dentist appointment, lunch with our former neighbors. Zoom gathering with some of my Fraternity brothers and Board meeting on Zoom for a Social Club/Non-Profit professional group I belong to. Too much actually. I need a hair cut and the oil changed in my car, so those are on the list too.
