I love watching dolphins in the ocean or Gulf of Mexico - I can watch them for hours. They are so peaceful and graceful and seeing them always brings a relaxing excitement. What inspired this poll is me looking at my recent vacation photos where I took some photos of dolphins we saw in the Atlantic Ocean. Our first night in Florida was at Cocoa Beaxh, because we love it there, and we stayed at a hotel on the ocean. The morning we were leaving we saw several dolphins and I tried to take pictures, but they didn’t turn out well. It was so nice to see them, that we sat there and watched them for awhile before leaving. This was not our first time seeing dolphins in the wild, but I’m always excited like it’s my first time. I know that not everyone has seen dolphins in the wild, so I thought I’d ask how many of you have seen these wonderful creatures in their environment. So tell me today……

Have you seen dolphins in the wild/oceans?
If yes…..where?
(multiple choice)

For Me……. I have seen dolphins in the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. My in-laws used to have a time share on the Gulf of Mexico for many many years and I’d see them every time we went there. Their unit was on the second floor with a balcony, so I’d sit there and watch them every morning with my coffee. I’ve also seen them in the Atlantic Ocean at Cocoa Beach and other places we visited along the east side of Florida. Another place I saw them are in inlets off The Gulf of Mexico. My DH and I used to rent jet skis and travel the inlets - we’d always see them in there. They really are so amazing to see.

Yes I have seen dolphins in the wild in both the gulf and the Atlantic ocean. We did a dolphin cruise at Destin and got to see several and they got pretty close too which was wild. I also saw some dolphins on the Atlantic side (New Smyrna Beach). I saw them one morning while sitting on the balcony. Always fun to see!

Yes love them - I’ve seen him down in Florida I seen them in Mexico the Caribbean around the Cayman Islands and shockingly I seen them when we went to Alaska I didn’t know they even went that far but yep seen them there too I have seen them when we cruised up towards Nova Scotia they’re just all over the place but I enjoy seeing them they’re just so smart and so cute

I've seen them in numerous places in FL, both on the Atlantic and Gulf side. I have seen them in the Gulf around Galveston in Texas as well as inland waterways that feed into the Gulf of Mexico. I have also seen them in the Pacific when we took a whale watching excursion off of Dana Point, CA.

When I lived in the Florida Keys, my employer had a client who had a beautiful home on the ocean. There was a small area on he property where dolphins would come to. I visited her once when my boss had business with her. She took me out to see and pet the dolphins. It was an experience I will never forget.

I love seeing Dolphins. We live in south Jersey and see them off the coast very often. I’ve seen then also in the Gulf of Mexico, FL and Hawaii!

Last summer tons of dolphins at the Jersey Shore the week we were there.

Don't recalling seeing dolphins in the wild:)

We saw a couple on a whale-watching sailboat tour from San Diego back in 2018. DD and I are going on a boat tour in Ireland (north Atlantic) in June and hope to see some then.

Scuba diver here so yes, I've seen them many times while on the ocean. Just about every dive boat we've ever been on has had them riding in the wake. We have even had them in the ocean with us while diving. You are taught early on not to bother them (they can be aggressive) and if they come near you to just get very still and not interact with them. It's their home after all and we are just visiting.

Yes. I live near the west and east coasts. I’ve seen dolphins all up and down the California coast. Also on the Gulf Coast of Alabama. As well as on all of our trips in HI. If you ever make it to Catalina out in CA, there are always hundreds of dolphins to see on the trip out there! 🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬

Yes, go to the Jersey shore frequently. Every now and then they end up in the Hudson River.
