Today in America is Indigenous People Day and several people have off work, because it’s also Columbus Day. Today we’re going to focus on Indigenous People Day and if you’re curious on what that is, here ya go…..



What I’m wondering today is if you have any indigenous blood in you and/or you have any indigenous people in your family (such as someone is married to an indigenous person). Please share this with us today, enquirering minds want to know…..

For Me…..Zero indigenous blood in me or my family. I’m 50% Hungarian and Swedish. I have a very small family, so I can confidently say we have no indigenous people in our family. I used to know someone that is indigenous and lived on a reservation. I loved hearing about her family traditions.

One of my great aunts married an indigenous man. I don't think I ever got to meet him, though. (Or I was a tiny baby and don't remember.)

I don’t, but an uncle did. So, those cousins have indigenous roots.

My daughter-in-law if part of a indigenous tribe in Honduras but the name of them escapes me, I'll have to ask her later today.
