For Me…..The last time I went to concert was in 2013 (I was shocked when I looked it up and saw how long ago it was). We took our girls to see Bon Jovi at Soldier Field (outdoor concert) in Chicago. I’m a big Bon Jovi fan and this was my third time seeing him. It was a blast, but the ticket cost was crazy, and we didn’t have the best seats. This is why we haven’t gone to any concerts since - I just can’t bring myself to pay that again, I’m not saying I’ll never go, but I do know it won’t be anytime soon. I told my DH, it’s kinda funny how I know people that criticize me for paying the one day ticket price at a WDW park (14 or more hours of fun), but they’ll pay more for a ticket to see someone a few hours. When you think of it that way, a WDW park ticket doesn’t seem so bad - LOL!

*Poll inspired by my DD19 going to see Morgan Wallen tonight at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Her ticket cost $400, which she paid with her own money. She’s going with some friends from college - she’s going to have a blast!

It has been a long time since I have been to a concert. I think my most recent was ZZ Top at a smaller indoor venue. This was probably 2014/2015 maybe. It was a good show and I do not think the tickets were very expensive.

Saw Dierks Bentley last summer. He was at Firekeepers casino. It was an awesome concert!

It depends on how you define concert. We go to small local indoor venues several times a year, went to an album release party last month, and an Irish band (Dervish) in March at a local university. Last bigger concert was Jason Isbell/Sheryl Crow last summer at Wolftrap. Going to see Robert Plant and Alison Krauss there next week.

We don't do big stadium concerts, last one of those I saw was Bruce Springsteen in the 1980's in Cleveland.

$400!!!!!! HOLY MOLY! Then again I paid almost $300 to see The Eagles and it was about 15 years ago. It was amazing and a full 3 hours! Can't complain.

Last concert was Billy Idol/Bryan Adams summer 2019. The "pre times" (Bryan Adams was the headliner but Billy Idol blew him away by a mile.)

Otherwise I really am done doing concerts bern there saw them not worth it unless I’m at Disney to see Big Bad Voodoo Daddy so worth it to see them for every show !!!

3 concerts in my life. Stones, back in 1965, indoor, smaller venue, $5 seat. Nobody was doing the goofy standing thing for the entire show. Theater style seating, and people sat, other than a a few standing ovations after a few songs, like Satisfaction, brand new song at the time.

Next was Springsteen, indoors, the four of us went. Thinking maybe 25 or so years ago. Probably $25-40 a seat.

Last was Neil Diamond, inside, Marie and me, maybe 20 years ago. Probably $80 a seat.

Long past my concert going days. Not into waiting for the porta-potty and the endless lines for beer and snacks. I will stay home and watch the concert from my couch.

Wow, time flies. It’s been 9 years for me. I’m not a music lover but while visiting LA in 2014 we couldn’t pass up seeing Billy Joel at the Hollywood Bowl. The anthems of my misspent youth in such an iconic place = amazing memories!

We went to 3 concerts last year at large indoor venues.
We saw Roger Waters, Ghost and Iron Maiden.
I’m not a big concert fan, but my husband loves them. I’m happy as long as I’ve got my earplugs. Lol.

Well, I haven’t ever been to a traditional popular music concert, mostly because I wouldn’t want to go alone and my taste in music was usually different than my friends. I have seen performers at WDW and Universal, and I went to the Kennedy Center in DC to see a favorite singer backed by a full choir and orchestra, if those count.

I think my last concert that didn't involve a school multi-purpose room was New Order in 2018. I can't believe it's been so long.

Anyway, that's about to change. We're going to go see the National Symphony Orchestra this weekend playing the music of Star Wars. The kids are over the moon.

Even though we live very close to Nashville, where there are TONS of concerts all the time, we never go.....We see it as a hassle to get there, park, etc. but Duran Duran was just here last week, and man, I wanted to see them. I still remember when my friends and I stayed up all nigh calling this radio station, trying to win tickets, way back when....My daughter saw Taylor Swift a few months back, but another mom took them.
Last concert I saw was one of the free ones at either Food/Wine or Flower/Garden at Disney. Those are fun. Our last trip, we'd planned to see the Spinners, saw them a few years back, and that was fun, but schedule didn't allow. Rick Springfield was there the week before we were, and would've loved that.

Ahhh, concerts. A favorite pastime of mine, but I cannot remember the band I last saw live. I’m wracking my brain, as the last I can remember is seeing a local band with DH in Feb 2020, right before everything popped off with COVID.

I used to catch a lot of shows at House of Blues in Orlando. Was just saying to DH last night that we should use some of our DVC points to stay at Saratoga Springs and go to a concert! A favorite memory was taking my dad to see Wille Nelson at HoB! It was a fantastic show. Maybe ‘06 or ‘07?

I’d like to go to more shows, but time and money is better spent elsewhere these days. I agree with you Slo that I’d rather spend the money on a park ticket!

DH and I have a wishlist to see Mark Knopfler in Philadelphia and Bruno Mars in Vegas

DW and I just saw Jackson Browne in a relatively small venue a couple of weeks ago. He was really good! Played for almost 3 hours. The last half of the show was basically requests from the audience. It was a lot of fun.

I went to two concerts last month. Saw Jerrod Niemann at a local casino. Then Brett Young at the Hard Rock Casino about 3 hours away. Both were indoors. Both were smaller venues. The local one I’d say was a very small venue.

It has been years since going to any pop music concert. Tickets now are WAY too expensive + parking + fees don't interest me. The performers are already millionaires several times over and likely already have more money then they will ever be able to spend, have no interest in making them richer. Even for some of the top named current artists, have zero interest in seeing them live. Rather watch the occasional special on TV from the comfort of my own living room. The times we have been to Vegas it amazed me how expensive the tickets were even for mid-level performers. I guess the concerts must draw a lot of people since they keep scheduling more of them and apparently can get away with selling some of the most expensive concerts tickets around.
