Love it. I bought a half gallon the first week of October when it hit the stores, and a half gallon last week. More than I probably should have consumed, but I have to admit I am wavering on getting another half gallon. I am the only one in the house who drinks it. Although Producers Dairy here has started bringing it back at Easter each year, selling it as "Easter Egg Milk" and in the past some here say some of their local dairies make it year round because of demand for it.

I like it with a bit of spiced rum, but I can't drink much at once. Too rich and sweet, I just end up craving salt.

Those of you who buy it for the holidays regularly, does it seem much more expensive this year? I don't remember ever paying over $10 dollars for a quart of it before. That was just the regular Prairie Farms variety as well. Maybe my memory isn't as good as I thought it was.
The regular stuff we buy...Kemp's, etc. wasn't any more expensive than I recall. The $10 stuff for Captain Bougie was...$10.

The idea of it was enough to put me off trying it for 49 years. I bought some last year and really liked it. I will drinking it tomorrow. I have various things to add to it. Spiced Rum, Whiskey, and thanks to @slo I will try some with Fireball as well.
Let us know what you think.
I had some this afternoon 🙂👍🏼

My favorite was always Hood's Golden Eggnog, but sadly it's not available where we live now. DS recently moved to NYC, and he was thrilled to find it there. However, I do not like eggnog that has alcohol in it at all.

🎅🏼🎄 Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! 🎄🎅🏼

What is your opinion of Egg Nog?
Will you be drinking it this Christmas weekend?
(multiple choice)

For Me……Heck yeah!
I love egg nog - especially with some Fireball in it :goodvibes
It’s horribly fattening, and I can feel it going to straight to my thighs as I’m drinking it, but hey…it’s Christmas time - everything is fattening at Christmas time - LOL!
I made an egg nog bunt cake last weekend, which was pretty good. Next year I’m going to experiment with other recipes that can be made with egg nog - it’s good stuff!

I will be drinking it on Christmas Eve, but it has to be homemade. I love the recipe I use to make it, but despise store bought egg nog.

This thread just made me mix up a small batch.
I don't use liquor.
I go low fat and low carb
When you have a quick moment will you please post your recipe 🙂

I’ve never tried it, but I know I wouldn’t like it. Especially after watching my brother pour out some that was four days past its best by date. It had been refrigerated but it came out looking like molasses. Not in colour, but in viscosity. No thank you.
About a dozen years ago we dumped some eggnog in mid January. It was still in code but when DW poured it down the drain it was all lumpy and disgusting.

Yes. Much mo4e expensive.

All year, I drink my coffee black... then egg nog is released for the season. I had my cup this morning with egg nog as the creamer and I will continue to do this until I can't buy it anymore after the new year.

I have convinced myself that a little bit in coffee is better (calorie wise) than a glass of it, with or without a "mixer".
I love egg nog and never thought about doing this! Thanks for the idea!🙂

That's my favorite, too! Unfortunately today DH bought some fancy-schmancy private label egg nog instead of the Hood's Golden, as he was instructed (I wrote it down, sent a text, sent a PICTURE and he still got the wrong stuff), so I'm not sure I'll be drinking any this year. I can't even get angry at him because I am laid up this year so he and DD are making Christmas happen, but boy, am I not happy!

I love the hood golden too, I get groceries from Amazon fresh and they were out of stock and Publix doesn’t sell it. I bought a carton of the southern comfort one instead as that’s all that was available, I read the side of the carton this morning and it’s distributed by hood and tastes the same as the golden eggnog, it’s just packaged to advertise southern comfort as the choice liquor to add I guess. I like to add already mixed McCormack pumpkin spice seasoning to it, not liquor.

I'm not a big fan of egg not, but I'll use it instead of milk or creamer in my coffee.
My MIL used to buy several cases of the canned Bordens Egg Nog. Used it everyday in her coffee year round.
