Almost every single day, unless there’s some unusual circumstances. During the winter my choices are more basic because things are out of season and the prices of some things are through the roof.

Unintentionally to me is…..
A cup of Yoplait peach yogurt that has a few teeny tiny pieces of fruit already in it.
Dry cereal that has dried fruit in it
Blueberry pancakes that has a few blueberries in them
And other things like that.

My kids used to say that’s ⬆️ eating fruit and I said - I don’t think so - LOL!

So wine doesn't count either? Party Pooper!

I eat fruit almost, if not every day. Either a piece of fruit or in a smoothie.

@slo What do you find is helpful or easy on your digestive system? I eat an apple and get stomach pain within minutes of eating it. (15-20 mins) I love fruit, but I have found very hard to digest as the years go on. I have IBS, however. Most of the things on the FODMAP diet make many of the fruits I like impossible!

I ❤️ Fruit, and on average eat it about 5x per week. Probably more in the summer. My favorites are strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. Love to just munch on them as a snack. Also enjoy apples, bananas, red grapefruit, grapes, watermelon, cantaloupe and honeydew. I love vegetables too.

I have oral allergy syndrome and have a reaction to most fresh fruits except bananas. So I eat a banana almost every day. frozen fruits don’t bother me so I often add frozen berries to my yogurt.

Are you a fruit eater?
How often do you intentionally eat fruit?
As in, you pick up a piece of fruit and eat it.
Choosing fruit to put into something counts.

For Me…..I’m trying to eat a piece of fruit (mainly a banana - eating fruit is a slippery slope with my UC) every day in 2023. In 2022 I was eating fruit about 3-5 days a week. In 2021 I was never eating fruit due to my UC raging. I’ve been having infusions for over a year which has helped me immensely and my gastroenterologist said I can eat a small amount of fruit again. Currently there’s bananas, apples, frozen strawberries & bananas and frozen peaches in the house. The frozen fruit I put in my protein drink after I workout.
On the reg, yo!
I'm actually eating some blueberries and apple slices right now.

Pretty much every day. My go-tos are applesauce (the kind made with the peels that has a decent fiber content) and bananas. But I also eat pears, peaches, and mandarin oranges fairly often, Love strawberries and blueberries but rarely buy them, but a lot of times when dining out I'll choose a fruit salad as a side.

Every day. I love fruit! I usually eat berries every day unless they don’t have any good looking ones at the store. Usually have half an avocado every day in my salad. Other fruits rotate. I try not to eat too many bananas but always have them on hand for the kids. Will have one occasionally. Always have apples. Other stuff rotates depending on what is in season and looks good. DS loves cantaloupe and Dd loves oranges and pineapple.

I wish I could get the kids to eat more veggies. That’s the tough one.

Probably about 5 times a week. I try to always have some sort of fruit in the house. Hubby got me fruit of the month from Harry and David's for Christmas. I love fruit but hubby doesn't eat it so it tends to go to waste since I can't eat it all.

Speaking of fruit of the month. He had it start in January and wouldn't you know, we were out of town the last week in Dec. and they delivered the first box on Dec. 27th, the day we left town. That box of pears sat outside for an entire week, it rained twice. When I got the notice it had been delivered I sent them an email, basically saying WTH, they weren't supposed to be delivered until Jan. and we are out of town. Is this normal? Are ya'll always going to deliver just when you want? I got a reply back saying oops so sorry, we are refunding the delivery fee for that month and here is how to ripen your pears. Seriously? My pairs are going to be either eaten by creatures, or moldy from the rain or rotten by the time we get home, I don't need to know how to ripen them and they didn't answer as to whether they are always going to deliver early. Opened the box when we got home and out of the 6, two had to be trashed. The other four I think I can cut up and get some good out of them. I did eat one yesterday and about 3/4 of it was edible.

I don't eat fruit. OK, tomatoes are fruit so I have some of them occasionally, does apple pie count? If so I eat fruit at least once per year.:)

Well, I have a tree full of ripe oranges and just picked the last of my mandarins. So several times a day this time of year.
As a type 2 diabetic, the only fruit my Doctor says I should be eating is an apple because of the higher fiber.
And my blood glucose meter confirms that, my body doesn't know the difference between a candy bar and "healthy" fruit, both blow up my blood sugar.

I eat a navel orange every day with my cereal. As an aside, trying to find a sugar free cereal that tastes good is crazy-making. I'm trying to cut out a lot of refined sugar from my diet. Any suggestions?

I'd go with Cheerios - while they do add sugar, it's only ONE added gram per serving (and 2 total grams overall), so it's almost all oat goodness and just enough sweetener to make it palatable.

It's also 5 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber for extra bennies...

I understand.

With apples I need to remove the apple peel - very hard to digest

No fruit with seeds - seeds are very bad for anyone with any type of IBS. Since I’m in remission now, I’ll put a few frozen strawberries in my protein drink, but never would I sit down and eat some strawberries - those days are gone.

Oranges have all those little strings - also hard to digest.

Bananas are pretty easy on the gut, but I never eat them with another fiber source - that is not good - I have to spread it out.

Grapes can be rough on the gut due to skin on grapes - hard to digest - I eat very little of these at a time.

Best thing is to just watch how you’re eating things (in regards to how you combine it with other items that you’re eating at the same time) and how much of an item you’re eating.

Also remember that salads, veggies, popcorn and nuts are hard on the gut (these are all things I can’t eat), so don’t eat some popcorn and then decide to eat an apple - one or the other.

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to send me a PM 🙂

I have one of those little sealed cups of no sugar added diced peaches (the ones that the juice usually spills out of when opening :rolleyes2) with breakfast every day. Maybe a couple bananas a week. In the summer, melons, blueberries, strawberries very often. Blackberries and raspberries less often. Oranges once in awhile in the winter. Apples a few times a month.

For my fruits for the day...

For lunch, I had a banana with a few brown spots (aka, the time my kids start not eating bananas).

Then for dinner, I'm making a meat and veg spaghetti Bolognese (aka, "clean out the veg drawer and make spouse happy with meat" pasta). With it, I'm cleaning out my fruit drawer, too, so I have a fruit salad with 1 giant pomegranate, 2 clementines, and about 9 oz of blueberries for a group of 7. That said, I'll have 1 serving size of fruit with my meal, but it will be 3 different fruits.

And then I'll shop tomorrow for all new fruits (and veg)...

Around 3 or 4 times a week.
This morning I had a homemade donut and an small apple for breakfast.
If I have bananas on hand and notice they are getting ripe I slice them and have on toast or a bagel with peanut butter.
I love oranges but I can't eat them too often as the acid gives me a stomachache.

I'll have to ask my half brother what dietary restrictions he had when he had IBS. His was so severe they finally had to do a colostomy.

Me not having to do this is my goal.
Thank God for my infusions and I pray they don’t stop working.
