Slinky Dog Dash worth riding twice?

Luckily, I was able to grab a FP for SDD around 6:25 PM. I was originally thinking I'd rope drop TSMM (not interested in flying saucers), and then head to TOT to hopefully ride a couple times (Disneyland is usually my go-to park, so when I'm on the east coast I try to do TOT as many times as possible). However, is SDD worth riding twice, as in, rope dropping it then attempting to head for TSMM? Or does TSMM get a lengthy wait pretty quickly as well?
Also have a FP for RNR and TOT later in the morning/afternoon.

We loved Slinky and would have ridden it more than once if the wait times weren't so high. We couldn't get a FP for it so we did standby once. It's not a thrilling coaster, but we thought it was a lot of fun.

We did it at RD, then with our FP and then at close.
Personally, the back is much more fun.
But an entirely different ride at night with the lights. Thats when it really shines.

IMHO, Seven Dwarfs is better. Id ride SDD for sure...of course different parks....

You will likely want to ride it again after you ride it. We think SDD is just fun. We did EMM and after hours in December to ride it several times. Planning that in June, too (if they extend after hours). An older lady who sat behind us giggled the whole time on one ride and bolted around to ride it again, right behind us again and giggled the whole time again. It is not thrilling, but we love it. We think its better than 7DMT, although we like that too. We still like the mountains & RNRC better, but love SDD for what it is.

Thank you all for the feedback! :o I’m thinking before close should be my 2nd time and rope drop should be left for TSMM?

That’s would I would do personally. I think you’ll have a less stressful morning by going to tsmm instead of sdd

It's a good thing HS just doesn't interest me at the moment. Because I've read where they have one of the worst rope drops. :( I'm sure that will change when SWGE opens. I'll be returning to HS for that, but not for another 3 or 4 years. :rolleyes1

I'd do TSM or RnRC if you want that, or ToT right away. If you really want to ride it twice, I've had good luck with doing SDD then TSM before the rope drop benefit wears off, but you'll wait about 25 to 35 minutes for TSM, which still isn't bad.

Really...it's just okay. Not in the league of TOT. Once a trip is fine.

I thought it was fun, although not thrilling, and would go again. I liked SDD more than SDMT but the mountains are still my favorites. DH who is a bit of a roller coaster junkie, thought it was just 'meh' and wasn't interested in going again.

Definitely try to ride it once in the daytime and once at night. We tend to go on insane crowd days but are still often able to get 4th FP for TSMM and ToT using the refresh strategy. Both were often under 30 min during Famtasmic/fireworks or late evening as well. SDD is much harder to get so would be the focus of my strategy.

Fyi we were there last September and decided to do SDD at closing time. We got in line about 8:15 with park close at 8:30. It took us probably 30 minutes to get through the ride. Others who showed up closer to 8:25 were not able to ride due to the queue being full. They were turned away at 8:30. I have a 19 year old and a 20 year old and they loved this ride. I agree with most everyone else, riding it at night and in the back if you can is so much fun.

That’s weird I’ve never seen that happen before. We’ve always been able to get in line right up until park close. Actually last March we took our niece and we got in line for tsmm the very second the park closed. We were almost too late. It might’ve been the cm that was working that line but they should let you in until the last second. I’m not saying that’s a good strategy though because I would still give 30 or so minutes before park close to get in line
