My kids and I did Summer Slime Live today.
Tickets were handed out at 1:00pm. The line starts forming around 11:15am in the last two rows of the studio queues (by the far cow pole). We got there at 11:30 and we were about 20th in line.
Only kids 10 and over allowed in the on-camera area. Only one adult per set of kids in the on-camera area. If you have younger kids, they will be given a ticket for a viewing area.
The way it worked today (and they told us it changes all the time) was that they started handing out tickets at 1:00 for a return at either 5:30 or 6:40. First come, first serve on tickets. The front of the line got the first seating and the rest got the second seating. The first group also had some tickets that were blue mixed in with the rest of the tickets which were green. The blue tickets were the randomly selected families that were privileged to have the whole family slimed. They got to stay for the entire 2 hour taping.
The 5:30 group got to attend the taping from 6-7:10 which was inside the studio. This was great for the viewing area folks because there were seats in an area right in the studio. The 6:40 group attended the 7:10-8:00 production. The later production was outside and the viewing area was standing room only and rather hard to see in to the filming area.
During the 5:30 seating, they also selected 4 more kids to play games and about 12 kids / adults to be props. Additionally,
the kids sitting in the front row were selected to be the "background" kids for each stunt. They would surround the hosts or contestants waving pool noodles. Consequently, they had the most air time.
If you go, prepare to get very, very, very wet and messy. My kids had a blast, although they were quite disappointed that they did not walk out covered in green slime
