We were watching a Food Network special tonight about DisneyLand during the holidays and I mentioned that it would be fun to go this time of year. DH said okay, but I don't believe him. He's not spontaneous enough to go this quickly.

He did check his calendar, and it looks like the best time for us to go is the week of 12/28. Let's say he decides to be spontaneous...just how crowded would it be that week?

Not that I actually expect him to do it, but it would be nice. We do have enough FF miles to fly there. I don't know...

I guess what I want are reasons to do it/not to do it. We were already at WDW in August, and it would be fun to visit both parks in the same year, and I've never been to DL.

Let me know what you guys think!! Thanks a bunch!

Sounds like you were watching the Guy Fieri special on DLR during holiday time and all the food, right?

Well, here is the main reason why you should do it, and I think this entire thread makes my argument for me:

That thread will show you in photos and descriptions all the reaosns why you should visit DLR during holiday time.

The only reason to not go would be that it will be more crowded in that week between Christmas and New Year's. But don't let that stop you, especially if you can manage a couple of days at least. As you can see from the Disney at Christmas thread, it is magical at DLR in December and should not be missed. Haunted Mansion Holiday and It's a Small World Holiday are reason enough to go, as they are exclusive to DLR.:santa:

Yep, that's the show we were watching! I would love to watch them make the candy canes in person - that was way cool!

We'll have to see what DH decides. I told him I wanted to go, so now the ball is in his court!

Food for thought, Costco has some decent deals..........................:cool1: roll, snowball, roll! LOL You might want to check out the deals for jan, feb, march, april dates too! LOL You can have a decent snowfall without the snow! :rotfl2:

The only problem with going anytime other than Dec is that I'm going back to school full time on Jan 6th. So this would be like a last hurrah before hitting the books again.
