I know this is OT, but I know someone here on the DVC board organized an Illuminations Dessert party earlier this month. I just want to find out what number I can call to get info on setting this up on my next trip for a bunch of us that are going.

Anyone with the scoop in this feel free to PM or e-mail me with a phone number or minimum # of people/minimum amount we need to spend?

Thanks

zulaya- I made the initial inquiry, and they couldn't do it on my date (Jan 2), so Maddy and friend from Oregon took it over- hopefully they will post a report soon! Here is the contact number: Dante Gibilisco, Park and Catering event manager (407) 566-6482 email: Dante.Gibilisco@disney.com.
Need min 25- 30 people to make it work- cost around $30 +/- depending on what you order and if you want a bar or not.

Gosh, I am so impressed by this! This is just so cool! What you can do if you have a little money--leave it to Disney!! Thanks for including the email address of the person who is in chage of making the party happen--wouldn't this be great if you were having a family reunion in Florida? Do you actually have a front row seat for Illuminations?

For the Dis con Illuminations dessert party we were right next to the water to the right of the bridge where the Illuminations cruisers watch the show. The area was blocked off so no one could get in but us. The had coffee and hot chocolate (it was cold and windy that night) along with many wonderful desserts.

Our family participated in the Jan 3 dessert party arranged by Janet & Maddy. It was awesome and the best view of Illuminations we've ever had. The dessert set up was delicious and the hot chocolate, hot tea, & coffee served on a brisk night was a welcome relief. I recommend it to anyone who can get a group together. The CM's took great care of us. There are actually 2 decks to the right of Rose & Crown that can be reserved for such a gathering. We were on the upper deck, another gathering was taking place on the lower deck. They looked like they had a few more people. All we had to do was show up and tell the CM guarding the path the name of our group and she let us right in. It was great, made us feel really special. Thanks Janet & Maddy!
