That looks pretty similar to some dolls I've seen at Once Upon a Toy at Downtown Disney. The last couple of years they've had a trend toward sort of awkwardly proportioned dolls (that I think also look sort of cheap.) That's probably the real deal...

Funnily enough, my daughter was asking for a Maleficent soft toy the other day and I told her there wasn't one - wishful thinking, obviously. Haven't seen these in DLRP though so I should be safe. LOVE the Maleficent dragon though!
