If you have a slightly bad back, meaning only certain non-everyday movements hurt, which rides at US and IOA are so jerky/sudden/non-stable that they should be avoided? I'm asking on behalf of one of my traveling companions - I want her to ride some rides with me, but she's nervous about her back? What moderate ride can she try out to see how it goes? How are all the re-enactments (Jaws, Twister, Earthquake)? I've been to US once, but I can't remember how jerky they were.

I would say that the coasters obviously are off limits...... and stay away from BTTF...... that ride is horrible, I got bruises from being banged up!!! MIB, and Spiderman are kinda jerky........ she may want to skip those.... they aren't bad, but may be too much for her.

There is a lot she can do though........ the three you mentioned she should have NO problems, although earthquake might not be to good, depending just how bad her back is.

Have a good trip!!

Definitely stay away from BTTF!!! I was rear ended in December and am afraid of what BTTF will do to me

I have a bad back. Even everyday movements can be painful. The good news is, I ride all the coasters at IOA with no problem at all. They are very smooth. The only ride at US/IOA that causes my back problems to flair up is Back to the Future.
