Slidemount Help

I'm coming up on two years since my first swap here and I have yet to make a slidemount. I'm ready to take the plunge. I found a slide mount on Fabulous Finds. If I cut it at 2 inches, it is 2 inches top to bottom, around 1.75 inches left to right. Does that sound like the right size?

I just measured 2 slide mounts I have 1 was 2 1/16 by 2 1/16 and the other was 1 and 15/16 by 2.

That size would make sense to me- it falls in with the ones I have- 1 was a bought one that was plastic- the other was one made in a swap here on the boards.

When I do mine by Cricut - I use 2 inches

I've done a lot of these using both the sizzix and then the cricut (I didn't have a slide mount on any of my carts but used a window thing on the pooh cart). These are fun and easy to do and you can do a lot with them - I like to print images or words and put them behind so they are like little windows. There are only a few ways I've figured out how to use two colors on one though.
