Has anyone out there ever used slide mounts on their pages & if so--ideas & or pics of how they were used. It looks like an interesting embellisment. Thanks!

I only made a few...I coverd it with really sticky double sided. It is pink in color then I covered it with glass beads (tiny ones) with a few rubble stones. Then I gave it away! HA so don't know what they did with it!
The next I did I loved! Again covered it with same tape then had that magic scraps snow stuff coverd it with that then with small letters I put Let it Snow (I made 3 slides) I thought it turned out cute...

They are also really cute for framing transparencies that you've printed on. Inkjet printing would need to be embossed or it won't dry, but laser printing dries just fine.

You can layer the framed transparency over some patterned paper or other background, too.

Another idea is to make mini shaker boxes out of them. Use a transparency or scrap of a page protector for the top, run foam tape around the sides and fill them up with shakers - little beads, punchies, confetti, tiny shells, seeds - whatever fits your theme!

I've used them to frame pictures (that my DH took thankyouverymuch... so there was lots to crop out) and to frame bead words and stuff.

You can do a search on 2peas and find lots of ideas!!

My Layouts

I took the mini Mickey head punches in red, yellow and black and glued them to a slide mount, collage' style. I then covered it with clear bity beads. It resembles the giant kaleidoscope at Downtown Disney.

I love that kaleidoscope. I haven't done the layout yet but I plan to use it on one of my downtown Disney pages.

Thanks, guys! You've given me some real good ideas! Now where do you all prefer to buy them? I've seen some on internet sites to buy but none in any stores!

I found mine on ebay and paid quite a bit for them. They have since come down in price. I bought a big brick and my friends and I split it.

(BTW, I think you "pea-mailed" me, but there was no message inside... I'm SF9erFan over there.)

Like someone else said - great for those 'bad' pictures that you can crop down!
You can stamp and emboss them too!

I read somewhere that you should cut them in two if you don't like too lumpy - and it gives you two!
Haven't looked at mine since I read that though! ;)
