We will be staying at BCV this October and really looking forward to swimming at SAB for the first time! :cool1: I have a couple questions about the "big slide" though. Our DS is 4 years old and LOVES slides, but is not crazy about going down slides that are enclosed  (appearing dark and not being able to see where you will end up at the end scares him). But if DH or I were able to ride down the slide at SAB with him, I think he would be totally fine and enjoy it. Do the lifeguards allow two people to go down the big slide at once, especially when it's obvious that it's an adult and child?

Im not sure if the lifeguard at the top would let 2 people go down at the same time.

They have a kiddie slide at SAB in case the lifeguard says no...personally we went on the slide a couple of times but it got annoying having to walk all the way to the entrance of the slide...We did it about 4 or 5 times the whole trip tops..

It is definitely a "one at a time" slide for safety reasons. It is very high up and he would need to feel comfortable riding it alone.

Definitely a no-no at SAB. You cannot stand at the bottom to catch the child either. Years ago I was told that you could not wear swimmies on the slide at SAB. My kids don't need to wear swimmies anymore but I did see lots of kids on the slide with them on.

For a four year old you might want to take the child to the smaller slide on the other side of SAB.
