Friends:

Althought slightly off-topic, I am sure that someone will be able to assist.

Our company has a project that will require 35 or so round trips over a 1 year period -- mostly to a single city or two. I have been asked to investigate if we can pre-pay a single airline for a special rate and get four of the primary travelers a silver or gold status in the chose airline's frequent flyer program.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,

I know airlines give special rates to businesses that give them a lot of business during the year.

I can't off hand think of any that grant automatic preferred status in their frequent flyer programs.

A great source of information is www.flyertalk.com

If you ask that question in the forum for the airline that you are interested in I am sure you will get lots of good information.

Some airlines do have contracted corporate rates, and once in a while the contract includes perks like elite status. I would try calling the airline you're interested in, and see if they have a "Corporate Contracts" group.
