Has anyone done the holiday sleigh ride at the wilderness lodge? If so what did you think? Where do you call to make the reservations? When can you make reservations? Thanks! It sounded like a really neat thing when i first read about it. (if anyone has pictures please post) Thanks!

I haven't but am very interested in the answers too! I have a trip during Xmas week and this is on my list of things to do.

We did the Horse & Carriage ride one night after we got out of the Hoopty Doo. I did make a reservation in advance. It was very nice, we went in December and it was a little chilly but they had a blanket. She took us through the woods very quiet and dark, all you hear is the horse hooves making the clicky clop sound :goodvibes . I don't even remember how much it cost, but it was worth it.

was it lit up at all or just darkness?

Not pitch dark, but you go on a path through the woods at night, that kind of dark. Not lit up at all :) Very peaceful, it almost puts you to sleep especially if you've just had dinner.

Dh and I went in Dec of last year. It was very relaxing we also took hot cocoa with us. I am sorry I can't remember how much but I got the number from the all ears site.

We went last December on Christmas night. It was wonderful. You do have to book in advance and it was later in Nov/Dec time frame when I booked it. I believe it was at 90 days out because I called the # for the Illuminations cruise and got one of those which was actually our back up day for the sleigh ride.

does anyone know what times they do this from? And what does everyone think is the best time to go. any other tips about it? I remember some people saying they brought hot chocolate on with them. Thanks!

My sister and I did the sleigh ride on our trip last December. It was so relaxing and really got you into the Christmas spirit. Our driver was great too and we enjoyed talking with him. We did the sleigh ride at 8:30 or 9:00 I can't remember. It was just nice to be sitting hearing the bells and the horse when everything in the parks was so crazy!

Thanks for all of the info! Has anyone else tried it? Do you think its better to go earlier or later or it doesnt really matter? haha. How difficult is it to get into the "sleigh"? I am traveling with someone who has muscular distrofy and cant get around too well anymore. is it unrealistic to think we'll be able to get him up into the sleigh? Thanks!
