Sleepydog's Dining Delights and Low Lights

Thanks for the great reviews. I love your ratings.

Thanks for the great reviews! I am also a fan of your rating system!

Hmm, those :earsboy: ratings seem to be popular! I sincerely appreciate the compliments. It does seem to make the reviews memorable in a Disney-esque manner. Visual cues :3dglasses are always good to use.

I almost forgot to add that Roaring Forks grill at WL is a great little place to grab a hot or cold sandwich, a quick snack, and of course, the ubiquitous refillable mug (man, I have a collection of those things now!). My DW really enjoyed the Philly cheese steak sandwich (I know those who would groan at the attempt, but it's pretty darn good for a resort grill), and my DD4 gave a thumbs up to the cheeseburger. I couldn't resist those chocolate, mini-Bundt cakes they sell, even at $3.99 a pop. Best of all, the grill is fast and convenient. I won't rate RF since it's not a TS restaurant, but I will say we preferred it over WC. ;)

Enjoyed the reviews!!
Been awhile for us as well at Coral reef. We're going down with some friends in Oct. and this just might be a nice place to try again for our Epcot meal--

Just FYI, I've completed the first part of our opus in the parks, located in the Trip Reports board. Thanks again for all the fabulous comments.

Thanks so much!!!!!!!!! We are staying at WL for the first time in a couple weeks and may just have to pop in at Artist Point after that review. We're already dining at some big places (read: expensive) but we might need another one since we'll be so close. We are not the least bit interested in WC, but I did appreciate hearing that Roaring Forks is good, since we'll likely dine there as well.

I'm glad you haven't copyrighted your ratings scale yet, because I fully intend on stealing them in a few weeks when I return! =)

You'll love WL! It has to be one of, if not THE, most peaceful resort in WDW. Most of the complaints (which seem to be few and far between) are usually that it is too peaceful, not close enough to the action. Well, we like action in the parks during the day, but want to decompress once back to the resort, and WL seems so tranquil after a day among tens of thousands of your closest friends.

AP isn't cheap, I'd be the first to admit, but they do have a superb line-up of meals: http://allearsnet.com/menu/menu_ap.htm Check out the menu here first to make sure they have entrees to your liking. We love the place, and it is a bit of a hidden gem as many don't want to travel so "far" to eat there. That's okay by me! :)

WC is a tough call. Many, probably most, would say it's a great place with good food, loads of fun, very rowdy and boisterous. Such an experience can be really fun, and to be fair, we have enjoyed the shenanigans from our table. However, as noted, both times our servers didn't seem to have much team spirit. And the food is pedestrian fare, and I stand by that critique. Not being big eaters, the all-u-care-to-eat skillet meal doesn't pay off at $22 a head (adults), so it's no bargain for us. Last August, my nachos were awful. . .by far the worst food I've ever eaten at WDW. But, WC may be worth a try, if only to see if it can be fun for you. However, Roaring Forks serves up hot, tasty sandwiches for far less of a cost. . .something to consider if you decide to eat at AP! :earsboy: Have fun!

Wow, your WC review sounds a lot like the Hoop-De-Doo Revue dining experience...minus entertainment! I heard so many things about the fun service there that I was planning on going, but now I think I'll reconsider. But, oh yeah, I'm gonna try AP now :cool1:
