I have two inside staterooms booked. They each sleep 3 people. The problem is that one room contains myself, DH and DS (8). The other is my FIL (59), his mother (82), and my other DS (18). I have recently heard that the queen beds no longer split into twins, and the cruise I am on has no porthole rooms to upgrade to in order to put my other DS in our room. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to configure this? Any help is appreciated. :)

Well, one suggestion would be a girl/boy split (sort of). Room 1 - you, FIL's mother, and youngest son. Room 2 - your husband, father in law and older son.

What rooms do you currently have? On what ship?

Hmm. I'm guessing FIL and grandma don't want to share a bed with anyone else, and that's the big issue? (I'm guessing only b/c that's how my parents, in-laws, and all grandparents would be.) So if it were me, I'd make my sons share. Maybe put both your sons in a shared bed, with your FIL in that cabin with them; and then you and DH in the other shared bed with grandma sleeping solo in your cabin? The 18yo will have plenty of time to get away from everyone else during the rest of the cruise, at least. But this all hinges on how big FIL and grandma are, too.

This is a great idea! Thank you!
