I feel kind of silly asking this question, but do you have trouble talking your kids into sleeping together? Do you arrange for a rollaway bed? Frankly, I myself don't like sleeping with my older daughter because she tosses around and talks in her sleep.

I really don't have any problem talking them into sleeping in the same bed but mine are only 6 and 3. The problem I DO have is getting them to actually sleep. DS(6) is not too bad. DD(3) forget it! She went to her crib at 6weeks old. Never slept with us except for the occasional cat nap. I guess its not like they're really gonna sleep much anyway once at WDW.:D

Ours have no problem sleeping in the same bed, but usually DD sleeps with me and DS with DH.

LOL! When we go on vacation, my kids make up this whole schedule of who is sleeping with whom when. DH and I never know who we'll be sleeping with.

Last year we needed to stay at one particular Embassy Suites and all they had left were rooms with a king bed and a sofa sleeper. It was just one night, so we thought it would be fine for our youngest to sleep in the king with us. It wasn't until bedtime that DS (12) and DD(10) realized that they were sleeping together. Major complaints.

I'm really surpised that more hotels don't have enough beds for 5 or 6. My friend is a widow and her DD is 15 and her DS is 12. Neither will sleep with her and they sure won't sleep with each other. So even though there are only 3 of them, they really need accomodations with 3 beds.

Thanks for the reply. I have 2 DDs, ages 9 and 13. Fortunately they will share a queensize sleeper sofa so it should be big enough. Does anyone know if they charge for a rollaway? (just in case they can't stand each other by the 2nd night!) But I hope they'll be so exhausted that they'll fall asleep right away and not even think about it.

We take turns sleeping with each other. DD-17 and DS-11 and DH and me. We have been going to WDW for the past 8 years.

DS and DD don't particularly like the nights they are together, but they know it's a small price to pay for going to WDW.

It all depends on which resort you are staying at.

If you are staying at Disney's value resorts - they don't offer the trundle beds.

If staying at the moderate resorts, the only moderate resort that offers the trundle bed is Port Orleans - Riverside and only in the Alligator Byou section. They do charge an extra fee for the trundle bed - I think it's $25 but not sure.

As for the deluxe resorts, most have either 2 doubles or 2 queens plus a daybed so that would solve your problem.
WL also has a double or queen bed with a set of bunk beds option also.

Then you get into the home-away-from-home catagory where you have the FW cabins that sleep up to 6 people and the DVC Villa's which go from 4 to 12. But then you're talking quite pricey to have more than 2 to a bed.

HTH's ;)

DS11 and DD13 have not shared a bed for 2 years now. DD is just a little too old to be doing that (JMHO). We usually get a room that will sleep 5 so that DD and DS each have thier own beds but we've only had 2 Queen-size beds, DH sleeps with DS and I sleep with DD. Both kids hog the bed and toss all night, so obviously this is not an ideal set up for us and we try to limit that type of setup to one or two nights at most.
