DH and I are taking our DD for her first trip to The World in December. In the past we've had a king room but for this trip I'm not sure. Should we get a king and just let her sleep with us? Or 2 beds and one of us sleep with her and one get the solo bed? (And lets not kid ourselves... it will be ME sleeping with DD and DH solo! LOL!) I thought about renting her a toddler bed for the trip from ababysbestfriend.com but I seriously doubt she'd sleep in it and she'll be too big her a crib by then. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Our 2 1/2 yr old just ended up sleeping on the floor on top of a folded bedspread with a sheet on top of it and her own blanket. (this was at the CR and the bedspreads were the covered duvet style so I wasn't too skeeved out)
she wouldn't sleep in the bed with her sister, or on the sofa bed so the floor was it.
If I had realized it, I would have brought a blow up pool raft for her to sleep on.

During our last trip DS was the same age. I ended up getting a toddler size air mattress bed. I found a cheap one at Toys R Us ($9.99) and got rid of it once we were done with it (more room for souvenirs:)). DS slept next to our bed, but I didn't have to worry about him rolling off the bed or anything. He thought it was so cool and different and slept like a "baby".

King bed with DD sleeping in it too.

Unless you or your DH worries too much and won't get sleep wiht the baby in bed. My DH would not get any sleep with an infant in the same bed, a toddler would not be a problem

Your picture is way too cute!

I say try to keep it like it is at home. So if she does good in her own crib try a crib for her down there. If she is in a bed ask for extra pillows and bunch them all around her. Remember, you need your sleep too and you both may sleep better seperately.

With that being said, everyone will be in new surrondings so you just never know how those nights will turn out!

We are staying at POR. They have a few rooms with trundle beds. However they are not garaunteed. Not sure when you are going or if you have booked yet. But maybe that would be a good option. Then you both have your own bed and DD gets her own little trundle bed.

We leave in 6 days. It is our DDs first trip! Ages 3 and 5. I am dreading the sleeping arrangements. I am hoping they are all so tired they will conk out as soon as we get back to the resort. Sleeping in one room is never a treat. But we will grin and bear it for Disney anyday of the week!

Good luck!

We took Dd 2x this fall when she was 2.5. We either had 2 beds or a bed and a couchbed ( DVC). For the regular bed we just got bedrails from housekeeping. For the couchbed we made a pillowfort.

Where does she sleep at home??? i would try to keep it as close to that as possible. At 2 1/2 , DS was still in his crib at home and happy about it but would not have done well in a pack and play. Of course a year is a long time off. Ds went however from his crib to our bed  . so after that we got a king and he slept with us.

We did a small Wiggles sleeping bag/air mattress combo as well. Worked SO well.

Just returned from our trip. We had two double beds and used one for the 2 1/2 year old with bed rails. It worked out great, and the rails are very high so I wasn't worried about him rolling out of bed. Lots of great ideas here, hope you have a great trip!

It really depends on your family- we have a ds5 and dd3 and except for when they were very little and could sleep in the pack-n-play, we have had a bed rail on one side of a double bed and an adult on the other. I think a few times when ds was younger, before dd came along, we all slept in a king bed with ds in the middle. Even now, we sleep with one adult and one child in each bed with a bed rail opposite the adult. It is just eaiser for us- I am not comfortable with the kids sleeping together-the way they move, I think they would wake each other too much. My dd is a cuddler- always needs to be up against something (a person, the wall, etc) so I would rather she bother dh or I rather than her brother!

By the way, our kids don't sleep with us at home on a regular basis and transitioned easily back into their routine at home.

I am heading to ASSports at the end of Feb with DH and DS (2.5 y/o). He still sleeps in his crib at home and in a pack n play at the grandparents house, so that is what we are doing. He will not sleep in bed with us unless he is sick. He just thinks its playtime. I am a little worried about him settling down to sleep with us still in the room, but hopefully he will be tuckered out and just fall asleep. I am also bringing a white noise machine to help silence any outside noise.
