Sleeping 6

One option is to get at least a one bedroom suite at the PBH. The one bedroom will have 2 queen beds to sleep 4 and the parlor will have a sleeper sofa to sleep 2. That's what we're currently doing for our October trip. Of course the price is comparable to the rate of getting 2 individual rooms and can only be booked by calling.

Universal will do their best to guarantee connecting rooms, but like stated above they dont offer a single room that sleeps 6.

We are also a party of six. We booked at the Nick Family Suites. I dont know how old your kids are but that might be a good option.

We just do two rooms at the HRH. We use our AAA discount so it is reasonable. We like having the two bathrooms and room move around. We have always requested connecting rooms and have always gotten them.

That's a fun hotel, but if does not offer FOTL at the parks.

We have stayed at the Nick hotel and did not care for it but we have 3 teens.....and the whole reason for staying at a Universal resort for us would be for the front of the line. We are DVC members so we would probably stay 2 weekend nights at HRH and then move over to a DVC resort.

I guess we will end up booking 2 rooms then the 3 teenagers can have their room and dh, 8 year old and I can have the other.

Be careful about "announcing" that as I dont believe it's legally ok for the hotel to allow minors to stay in a room alone.

will they guarantee us connecting rooms if we say that we have 4 children?
I honestly dont know.... I dont think they can guarantee rooms. My guess is that they would want you to split one adult & 2 kids in each room, based on my limited hotel knowledge. What a pain in the butt, huh?

We request two connecting rooms each trip and have never had our request denied. We are a party of 4 with our "kids" being 23/26 and they still give us connecting rooms. I no there is no guarantee but we have been luck so far.
