Sleeper Sofas

My mom and I are thinking of renting points for a trip late next year, which we also did for our last trip a couple of years ago. Since it's just the two of us, we're definitely just going for a studio. Last time we stayed at Jambo House and alternated nights on the sleeper sofa and the bed, and the sleeper sofa was pretty terrible. I know I've read some on here people saying that at some resorts they are better than at others. How are they at Poly and BCV? We're also considering OKW just because it has two beds, but we're definitely more interested in staying at some of the other resorts for ambiance!

Would bringing along like a foam mattress topper help at all, do you think? Compared to the cost of a WDW vacation, it would be a tiny added expense to buy one.

An issue that exists now is a lot of rehab has been and is still going on at the resorts and the applicable couch has been or is being replaced at each resort, and thus what one may say about a resort like BCV now may not be what exists after BCV is done this year. Moreover, even AKV is undergoing a rehab this year and thus what you experienced may not be there anymore next year.

As to past history, I can speak to comparing BWV, BCV, BLT, and AKV where we actually used that couch in the studio. AKV was the worst because it was quite hard. The others were OK, not as good as a bed but not the brick-like experience that exists at AKV.

I've slept on the ones at BWV and AKV (in a one bedroom my son and DIL used the bedroom) and didn't hate either places. It was a sofa bed so not the most comfortable in the world but I'm a princess and the pea sort of sleeper and even a regular bed can bother me.

I would do OKW. I love the vibe there! The entire resort just whispers "Island Time." And, if you want to really get into the swing of things, a Turtle Krawl at Gurgling Suitcase will help you get into the groove.

We are AKV owners but have stayed in most of the dvc studios. We always bring a memory foam mattress topper because I am not a fan of any of the pull outs.
