Does anyone else's sleeping patterns change the week before vacation? I tend to stay up later. I am someone who likes to be asleep no later than 10pm, prefer 9pm if the girls get to bed early;) The week before a trip I am usually up till 11pm- midnight each night, except the night before the trip I am sometimes awake till 2-3am.

I have been known to get about 2-3 hours a night sleep about a month before a trip.;) I normally get 4-6 hours of sleep a night.

I was awake a lot at night too right before. Making lists and lists of things I needed to remember, packing and repacking. lol

this is hyper spaz........I am usually started to stress and I have six million lists that I am still going over to make sure everyone knows what to do if the house needs something.......and to make sure that the fish get fed.....and that my kids call their grandmas to make sure they are alright....and then the other stuff to make sure I didnt' forget anything to take with me........so the eleven and then two am is a given.....rest and relax when you get there.....hahaha..and come back and do a trip report when you come home....by the way .......where are you going

I was gonna take friday off work to GET a little extra sleep, but then I toss & turn til my normal sleep time..
So I might get up a little earlier friday so I'll be good and tired so I'll fall asleep my normal time and get a good solid 5 hours...:jester:

I definately lose sleep right before a trip - i'm a worrier so I worry that I fogot something, that I'm going to oversleep and miss the plane, etc. etc. I'm usually fine once we are at the airport :)

I'm kind of kicking myself right now - wishing we were flying in the night before our cruise. Then I would get a good nights sleep. Oh well - what's done is done. :)

Jason.....you wife must be doing the packing:rolleyes:

Everything but the night before is sleep lost due to little projects I feel I need to complete before leaving for vacation....caulking the kitchen windows, trim....preparing the livingroom walls for painting when we return.

Pumba...we are going to DisneyWorld. Hopefully my Mom is also going, but we won't know until Thursday.

Believe dear, those aren't "little" projects!;) :p

I'm OK the week before, but the night before - forget it - I don't sleep a wink.

I just figure it's my body getting ready for the change in schedule it will encounter once I GET there!!!! :D Who sleeps while they are on vacation - especially at WDW???!!!! I learned that in December, as well as I should have started two months before!!! :D:D:D:D

Sleep, no way. The whole month before going I get little sleep. I lay in bed thinking about what I need to do, and what I need to take. I plan the days and nights. I think about what I may forget, or what needs done before I go. I am going in September (I am lucky, my third trip in a year) and I am already making lists. I think it's fun, but it drives Stephen crazy. We've gone so much, he likes to take it one day at a time. So, I lose sleep and he sleeps like a baby. But, when we get there, he's up earlier than I am to get the day started.

Amanda, I hope you all get to go this time. Good luck.

I do sleep well the week before, but the night before is terrible! I can't sleep at all!

I hope you all enjoy the trip though and that your mom gets to go too... you all could use that trip together :)

I spend so much time planning for the whole year before the trip that there isn't that much to do the week before!;)
