Slava Snow Show...

Just got back from the most amazing theatrical experience! Slava was the original Cirque de Soliel clown... and you can see the influence (although its not quite as odd as Cirque!)

If you can beg borrow or steal a ticket for the Slava Snow Show (now on tour in the UK) then do! Its amazing!

Im not a great clown fan.. but this is a full sensory experience and you find yourself and the entire audience encompassed in a huge spiders web, and in a huge snow storm.. and floating 15ft balls in the audience..totally amazing!
I know it sounds wierd.. but its also visually stunning and very very funny.
DS6 and DF75 absolutely LOVED it so its really for all ages! DS6 laughed his head off..

Im a sucker for a snow storm.. so it was always going to appeal to me.
The theatre was absolutely FULL of snow. We spent ages after the show had finished throwing snowflakes around at eachother.... I know I shall be finding snowflakes all down my clothes tonight when I get undressed!!!

i didn't even realise this was touring...thanks i've just a ticket for birmingham...i loved cirque and its uniqueness...is this still linked to cirque?

no its not linked to Cirque.. but it has that feel to it..
its stunning though! And well worth a visit.

teenagers I think would like it.. depends on the teenagers though! I

netty, i tried to get tickets through the hippodrome, but they hardly had any, so if you have any difficulty try ticketmaster, they had seats come up which werent on the theatres site.

We've booked seats in the stalls, not sure if this is a good idea after watching the video!!!

You HAVE to sit in the stalls.. you definitely will feel you have missed out in the upper levels... although actually it will still be fun.

Be warned though. if you are in the front couple of rows you will probably get wet!
and absolutely Covered in snow! they must have been a foot deep at the end!

That's what i thought, were sitting about half way back in the middle.. i haven't warned my mom about the snow though ive just told her its similar to cirque!

Got tickets for this in Birmingham in November, thought it would make a change from a panto. Hope Ashley holds out though, he gets quite emotional and I believe its got some quite touching moments in it. Really looking forward to it. We are going to see Beauty and the Beast two weeks before Slava, I really love the theatre.

Thanks for the link, Sammie. This looks great! I've seen Cirque Du Soleil advertised in the Sunday Times today - but was disappointed to see that it was Alegria again (we've seen it already). This sounds like the perfect substitute!
