Day 5-Part 3 WL/FW and Trail's End
I thought it would be fun to go to the WL tonight so my sister could see it and we could take the boat to FW and go to Trail's End Buffet and check out the Petting Zoo and pony rides.
We drove to WL, me and DH have not been there for awhile and it made me miss it so we will probably have to plan part of our next trip there. Here we are arriving:
WL is truly a beautiful resort and the kids loved it too. We walked around abit and just enjoyed the lobby. Then we went out to the pool and finally to the boat dock because everyone was hungry for that Fried Chicken at Trail's End.

Ah, our ship has arrived!
The ride over to FW was pleasant and when we got there we had to check out the petting zoo and pony rides first, which we did and was rather fun even though the animals are mostly goats, a piggy, cows, pony and donkey. The kids loved it though and so did I. We also saw a horse/carriage ride you can take for like $30, we opted not to do this though.
We were all hungry by now and headed over to Trail's End. It is very homey inside Trail's End and the food smelled and tasted great. After we ordered our drinks we headed to the buffet, I headed right for the soup/chili area and decided on Minestrone Soup. The bowls they use are "fake" pewter as the manager told me, but when I took one and they all fell making a loud clatter that everyone in the restaurant heard, I would've sworn they were the real thing! How embarrassing, but the manager quickly came over to make me feel less stupid and said that it was a plan and they were just waiting for someone to fall for it. I knew he was just being nice, but it was nice of him to make me feel better.
The food is very delicious and well worth the $15.99 for adults and $6.99 for kids. The fried chicken was excellent as were the soup, veggies, chicken cacciatore and...well, let me show you....
That little piece of meat that is about to be put on my plate by DH is roast buffalo. It looks like roast beef, but is a bit more chewy. My DH liked it, but none of the rest of us wanted any.
Here is the salad and soup:
All in all, a great and filling dinner. The desserts were wonderful as well and had a homemade taste.
The kids were given pictures to color when we first arrived and they all colored them, our waitress, Serena, who is a wonderful CM, asked the girls to put their pictures on the wall for others to see, they were thrilled at this.

There was definitely some Disney magic here and we will definitely return. Well, here take my niece's word for it, as she loved every drop:
We got back to WL and did a bit of shopping in the gift shop before heading back to CBR for a swim. Here are a few pictures of WL for all you fans of WL:
