Has anyone done the Skyventure sky diving thing? DS 10 saw it on an episode of Little People Big World and really wanted to try it. It's an indoor sky diving experience. I looked at the website and it's not as expensive as I thought it would be, about $45 for kids. I thought it would be an awesome surprise for his birthday.
It said you get 2 one minute "dives" and I'm wondering if it's worth it? I don't want to take time away from our "park time", and this would also involve me having to rent a car which I was kind of on the fence about. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Bumpy bump Lol!! i actually watched this on the same show last night.:goodvibes

This is definitely something you have to do at least once. It does sound like a lot of money for 2 minutes but it is worth it. To be honest I don't think I would have wanted to do much more than 2 x 1 minutes as it is hard work!!! It is a lot of fun and I highly recommend it.
GO FOR IT!!!!!:cool1:

Any more info please?
My DD 7 would love to do this.... is she old enough ?

how safe is it ???

( Its me thats scared not her! ):rotfl2:

I am interested as well... i saw something when I went to an orlando activities web sight but if I remember correctly it was something like 150.00, must be something different. This sounds definately more in my budget :thumbsup2

We have one here in NH and have done it several times. We even did a 6 year old b-day party one year. It does sound expensive but when you factor in that 2 minutes is equal to two real freefall skydives, its actually pretty cheap.

A lot of fun, buy the video, you get to see everyones cheeks flapping around. You will be a little tight in the shoulders the next day. Great rainy day activity. You may also want to look for coupons.

Our whole gang ages 12-73 did it Christmas of 2008. With suiting up and the little class etc. the whole experience takes about a hour and a half. We all enjoyed in, and those two minutes are actually more air time than you get doing real sky diving. Sky diving teams come here to practice too, so they get a combination of tourists and serious sky divers. You may want to check the Orlando entertainment book to see if they still have coupons. When we went each book had two two for one coupons for the DVD package. We had eight in our party, so got two books and all went for half price. Note: The DVD package is more expensive than the basic package (With the 50% discount though it was our least expensive option and our kids wanted the DVDs anyway). We used the entertainment books for two dinners and a Gatorland discount too. If your son is interested, I think it's worth trying out.

20 trips to the area since the park opened (I was there the first year at age 10) and trip number 21 coming up in March of this year

I did it the last time I was in Orlando. It's now on the agenda for every future trip. It was amazing. Literally, one of the coolest things I've ever done.
