Skyliner capacity
Wondering on the skiliner how many people or families they are putting into each car? I’ve ridden during Covid and it was just 2 of us. Wondering if that changed.
Thanks

Depends on how busy it is. Most times my husband and I end up riding alone but if there’s a lot of people waiting, they will seat you with other guests.

When we were there in March, around park opening, they were putting multiple groups together in the cars. There were 2 of us, and we sat across from 3 others in a group. From what we could see, that's how all the cars were being loaded. We also rode during Covid when they kept groups separated. That approach is no longer happening.

Park open and close they fill the cars, the rest of the time it will likely be only your party but they may still put other guests with you.

In Feb we were a group of 4 and travelling mid-afternoon with no lines. There was a single guy in line behind us and they loaded him in with us even though we were not together. We were fine with it, just an example to say that lines do not always determine if they load multiple parties in a car.

Thanks. Being in with others isn’t a problem. More just curious. My sis has height issues and kinda freaks out for any bumps or swaying so a bit nervous about upsetting kids or other people.

We always ask for one by ourselves if we see that they are putting people together. We aren‘t very social and find it uncomfortable. They don’t seem to mind at all. We also aren’t using them when it is super crowded. If we did, we would just suck it up and ride with others. When we were there at the first of May, there was really only one time that we saw that they were putting people together.

I think it might depend on the time of day, CM, and what retro the moon is in when you are standing on head and spitting into the wind. I rode it twice mid-April, I was solo. Both times it was around the same time of day, mid-afternoon. One time they put me in solo, the next time they put me in with a couple. Neither time was it busy and there were no lines, rain, wind or any other special conditions. Funny though, just so happened when I was in with the other other couple, the speakers were not working so you did not hear a thing the announcer woman was saying. Thankfully, I've ridden it a few times so I knew the drill and they had just ridden it down and back so they also knew the drill. So, you may or may not be put in with other people.

Generally, the only time you’re just about 99 percent sure you’re going with others is if there is a line, park closing. The cabins hold ten so if someone is a party of four, double folded stroller, ten bags and the next party in line is five, the party of four will go by themselves. but, pending who is loading, you may get put in with the four. There are other things they look for but are considered operational and operational shouldnt be discussed on a form like this.
Other than minivans, it’s the only form of transportation that guest feel its private transportation.
It’s not an attraction, it’s like a bus or monorail, it’s considered transportation and its primary function is to move people. At least you are guaranteed a seat and someone’s butt isn’t in your face. Lol
Four people spreading out with their feet up is another good way to have company.
In slow times, if you ask, chances are you will go alone. But, again there are other factors.
The cabin capacity is ten. Ten heads. Everyone counts, mom, dad, babies, service animals, if you had a live parrot on your shoulder, the bird counts.
It don’t matter if your going to hold number 11, ten heads are the max.
This is a safety issue and they can’t make a magical moment by letting more than ten ride together.
Thats why “slipping into the next cabin” is not a good idea. There are more people coming behind you that were assigned to the “slip in” cabin. This causes the line to stop. People always ask, why does it stop or slow down? There is a good example. Trying to stay on is another reason it will stop. In either case it will not resume motion until the issue is resolved.
So how was that for a definitive answer. Lol
