Skyliner in summer heat? Staying at Pop this summer!

Is the skyliner in the summer hot?

Not really because you get air flow as you move. Only issue is lighting from thunderstorms will shut down the Skyliner

We rode it in August and had no issues. The windows throw a nice breeze while you’re moving. My kids absolutely loved it, it was my 4 year old’s favorite “ride” haha. The bigger issue was as a PP said, they close it during thunderstorms. And it’s whenever there’s lightning within a certain mile radius so one day we were waiting in line for the Skyliner and the sky was only partially cloudy. But the cast member got an alert, they closed it down and we lost 90 mins waiting for a bus which stopped at several hotels before taking us to HS.

It can get hot if it slows down too much for the air to flow through, which can happen on the Epcot segment due to loading ECVs at Riviera (they don’t have the bypass system at that station). Carrying a cold bottle of water can be helpful.

Not for us. We love it! But ditto the concerns on thunderstorms. Get a good weather app.
