Greetings!

Working out transport for our upcoming trip, and it looks like our hotel shuttle only drops off at EPCOT.
Since we’re trying to get to Hollywood Studios one morning, I was thinking we just take the skyliner from EPCOT to HS.
Can we walk from the EPCOT bus drop-off spot to the Skyliner without entering EPCOT? Didn’t know if there was an easy path to walk without going through the park to the rear entrance.

OK, thanks!
Does EPCOT still delay opening World Showcase until later in the morning, or can you go right through when the park opens?

You will be able to walk through World Showcase when the park opens, only I believe you will need to walk past Canada toward the UK pavilion in order to get to IG. If I'm not mistaken, you cannot walk between Norway and France until WS opens at 11am.

Also don’t forget you will need to have a park hopper ticket (or annual pass) in order to go through Epcot on the way to DHS

If your primary intent is to actually GET to DHS (and not just to ride the Skyliner)
do not waste time walking all the way through Epcot, and take the Skyliner (you'll lose about 50+ minutes of time doing that) and it's a lot of walking.

Instead, just get off your resort shuttle bus and take a short stroll to the Epcot-to-DHS Disney bus.
Both bus stops are within the same approximate area, and once the Disney bus departs, it's only a 10 minute ride to DHS.

And, I'd do the above even if you DO want to ride the gondolas.
Just wait until later in the day so that you are not wasting valuable morning in-park "attraction time"
with just basic "you can do so any time" outside-the-park transportation.

Thanks!
We’ve got annual passes so we can get in. Sounds like we need to make sure we don’t arrive before the park opens if we want to use the skyway.
Good note on the bus option - we may end up catching the bus to save some time for this trip.

If you want to go free I second the park to park bus option. It goes against everything I believe to skip the free hotel shuttle, but have you considered an UBER may really be worth it in this case? You will get there 20+ minutes faster than the bus and an hour faster than the walk and skyliner option. You can take the Skyliner and free transportation on your return. It really is a great transportation method it just doesn't fit your route.
