Some things that strike me as odd and I've searched but haven't seen them mentioned.

Disney classifies RVA as an Epcot resort. A nice covered walkway was constructed between the resort and the Skyliner.

Operationally they run this line clockwise. So the Epcot resort with the deluxe walkway is only a benefit when returning from Epcot or heading to CBR and points beyond.

If headed to Epcot you need to walk around the entire station and enter from the CBR side. To me the choice is odd.

The clockwise operation of the Epcot Skyliner line is to optimize guest movements at Caribbean Beach.

Roughly the same number of guests will be traveling from Riviera to Epcot (mostly morning) as from Epcot to Riviera (mostly PM).

Roughly the same number of guests will be traveling from Riviera to Hollywood Studios via CBR as from DHS to Riviera via CBR.

So it doesn't make any difference for Riviera guests which way the Skyliner runs.

Not sure whether it is more likely to be raining after noon compared with before in which case the deluxe walkway will benefit more Riviera guests with the clockwise operation.

The only way to avoid walking all the way around the station would have been a bridge, which would have to go be wheelchair accessible.
