Who saw it?

I went last night.

I thought it was fantastic, and definitely breathed some more life in to the 007 series.

Daniel Craig was great, and Judi Dench... Well, she's Judi Dench. :thumbsup2

If you haven't seen it yet, I'd highly recommend it!

Also, the song Skyfall by Adele...

I bought it after I saw the movie and I think I've listened to it at least 10 times today.

We saw it last weekend. It was great!
I loved the bits they brought in from the old Bond items.

Judi Dench - Yep... she is good!

All around a very good movie and it will be interesting to see where it goes next.

I too love the song by Adele :goodvibes

I've seen it twice now and I'll probably go once more. Really great movie! I'm fairly certain Daniel Craig has signed on for at least one more and I love that...but I'd love to see Idris Elba as bond.

We've seen it, and really liked it. I'm a huge fan of the James Bond movie franchise. They are our go-to anytime movies when we can't think of anything else to watch on TV.

But I really despised the first two Daniel Craig ones, although not because of the actor. They just were crummy James Bond movies. But Skyfall is great, and the Adele song is the first James Bond song I've liked since "A View to a Kill" by Duran Duran. I also bought it to add to my James Bond theme song collection, and have listened to it over and over.

Here's what Roger Ebert said about Quantum of Solace http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20081111/REVIEWS/811129989, and then about Skyfall http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20121107/REVIEWS/121109990/1023.

I totally agree with him.

I don't think many people will argue with you about quantum but casino royale was enjoyable. Not amazing but a good movie overall.

Loved it! Daniel Craig is awesome!

Javier Bardum is one heck of a villian, but why do they always make him so weird and ugly looking? He is a terrific actor, but they always give him some strange hair style.

I saw it - and thought it left a bit to be desired. LOTS of questionable plot points that don't make much sense. But then, Bond films often require a lot of suspension of reality. I just prefer they tread in "it could possibly happen" territory..

And for all the Adele love - not a fan of this tune.

I am quite the contrarian here today! :)

I'm going to see it tonight. I was not a big fan of many of the past Bond movies because they were overly cartoony in their writing and the technology was farcical. The Craig movies have been more like the Boorne movies and I think that is a great change. The focus has been on the espionage instead of the womanizing and while of course there are some stretches with the technology they aren't laughable like they were with Connery or even Brosnan. I also like that they got rid of the ridiculous villains and have more realistic bad guys who don't throw clothing as weapons.

I know it is sacrilege to say it but I think Craig is the best Bond, even better than Connery.

See, I think Craig is a lot like Connery, but still not better. Just my opinion though. For me the list goes Connery, Moore, and then Craig, though Craig is creeping up there on Moore.

I loved Skyfall, but agree that some of the plot was very thin and the bad guy not quite bad enough.

Surprising that, considering who he is friends with ;)

As for Skyfall, I enjoyed it despite it being a little bit all over the place.

I do enjoy these more gritty takes on old franchises like the newest Bonds and Nolan's Batman.

Javier Bardem is great too, a little bit of Heath Ledger's Joker in his performance

:goodvibes

Well, if that was Luis Suarez I might reconsider but I like Gerrard.

I saw it last night and thought it was good, not as good as QoS but good. I did like the throwbacks, like the old Aston Martin, but it just reiterated just how hokey the original concept was with cars with ejector seats and pop out guns.

I also liked that the villain was more just seeking revenge as opposed to some of the villains with asinine schemes that they had in the past. I think that is the best change to the franchise in the last 3 films, normal villains who aren't trying unbelievable schemes or had outrageously complex schemes that were ridiculous.
