I am looking for a hotel/resort etc for our december trip. I have seen skyauction mentioned several times on these boards. I have been looking over there site and I am a bit confused.

For example...I see a min bid of 37.00 if I bid will that then be 37 per each nite I book...soif I stay 10 nites its 370 that I will pay...or is just the 37 bucks....I am confused

any advice on dealing with this site

depends upon what the ad says - some are for hotels. then it is what you bid plus their fee $32 - each night

for the timeshares - it is what you bid plus $295.00 for the WEEK.

timeshares will generally include a kitchen or at least a kitchennett (studios)
most will have separation between the bedroom/kitchen/living space
some will have a whirlpool tub and shower stall in the bathroom.

We use SkyAuction quite a bit and with great success.

DO NOT bid on anything until you have read EVERYTHING!!! Often there will be an added fee (to the amount you will be bidding) and knowing about that will change your concept of "good deal."

Sometimes it is a fair additional fee, other times exhorbitant. Other times, there is no added fee at all.

One way to use it is to buy certificates for restaurants. Ran Gitsu is often featured as is Antonio's, both wonderful (albeit very different) places to dine.

The key as with anything is to know exactly what you are getting for the money before you bid.
