I stay at Silver Lake most often because it is
1. always available
2. a very short, easy drive to the parks with no view of the "real world" when using the back entrance on Sherbeth Rd.
Most importantly, they at least have some form of security at the entrances unlike most other off-site resorts.
My favorite is Cypress Pointe. I like the decorating and can watch TV from the jacuzzi! I love the three bedroom units there or the two bedroom units at CPGV.
When I want space and a great view, I stay in the three bedroom/three bath units at Grand Beach overlooking Lake Bryan. I love lounging in the hammocks lakeside.
I used to love the A units at Vacation Village at Parkway. I miss them and wish they will be offered again.
Places I would not return to:
We had a nice waterfront room at Bryan's Spanish Cove. On windy nights, we left the slider open and listened to the water washing up on the shore. There was a problem with roaches when we were there.
Kingstown Reef is convenient to the convention center and Seaworld, though the unit was a bit small with no jacuzzi tub.
Fairfield Cypress Palms is a too far away. There is no interior deadbolt so maintenance entered the room when I was in the tub.
Thanks to Skyauction, I consider Disneyworld my "vacation home".
