Skyauction.com Mystery Booking

I am a complete newbie when it comes to booking Disney vacations - I have been browsing these threads and found them quite helpful, though.

I have seen some people discuss Skyauction.com and appear to have had good experience, but I am currently looking at an auction and wonder if anyone has had experience with the auctions where you bid on a week and they can book you in 1 of a sampling of resorts (in my case, 34). Do you find that some of these resorts are less than acceptable and you end up paying more than it is worth?

Do any of those jump out as a bad resort/bad deal? The auction is ending fairly soon, so I was not sure if I would have a chance to look each of them up before I would need to bid, so any quick responses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

unfortunately the celebrity resorts are a part of the list. Ick. I liked several, though.

I actually ended up not bidding on it because of the Celebrity resorts. The reviews were awful.

It all worked out in the end - we ending up booking Wyndham Bonnet Creek through eBay!

We stayed at Celebrity and it wasn't the end of the world, but I wouldn't choose it if I had a choice.

Westgate is a NO WAY NO HOW though. We had our worst experience at Westgate.

lol, my friends were at westgate this last trip and loved it. I wouldn't have, but it was perfect for them.

Well, if we had been given an upstairs unit (3 bedroom) from the start, perhaps we would have a different opinion, but they are so poorly designed that every step in the upstairs unit echoed very loudly downstairs. We ended up MOVING after 2 days because we hadn't slept for 2 nights. Then we needed a day to recover from being so darn tired.

2 bedrooms were all downstairs units and we had booked a 2 bedroom.

It completely ruined the trip for us.

If a place is reasonably quiet and clean, I don't have too many other complaints.

I NEED my sleep!
