Skyauction and hurricanes?

I was wondering if anyone has used skyauction and has been evacuated because of a storm. Just wondering if they refund or what? We just won an auction Monday for a condo in Panama City and wouldn't you know the first storm of the season is probably going to come there Saturday and we check in tomorrow.

Unless you buy the travel insurance, I believe you would be out of luck. See if you can add it.

EDIT: unless soemthing happens, I think the storm will only be a tropical storm, so you don't have to worry about being evacuated. Just a lot of wind and rain, and the weather will probably be gogeous after it passes.

Last September, our trip was canceled due to a hurricane. SkyAuction's policy is to wait and see what the resort itself does. If the resort remains open and is accepting guest they considered it "out of their hands". If the resort closes and is not accepting guest, they will notify you by e-mail and allow you to pick another auction to apply your money to (or choose from the available inventory). Our resort did indeed close. We ended up going in October and stayed at the Vistana. Again, this is how it was last year. You may want to contact SkyAuction to see if this is still the practice.
