I have recently discovered this site called Skyauction. I have noticed that some people who bid on vacations and cruises and such win these things for only 1 to 10 dollars. Now I am the type of person who believes that if something sounds to good to be true then its not true. How is it that someone could win a vacation for 10 dollars. Who makes money off of your biddings? Is there any hidden fees and such? And when you win a vacation when do you have to pay the money?
Thank you to whom ever can answer my question.

If you click on a certain auction they will list exactly what extra fees are involved. For example I have a 2 bedroom condo at Silver lake booked( a week)and my total price was $261. Breakdown is $51 for the auction(ready, set, go),$195 service charge and $15 document fees. Still a great price. Once you wil the auction they charge the CC you leave on file.

Even with the fees, it can be a great deal! My best deal was a one bedroom at Cypress point Grand Villas for only $232.00 TOTAL for a week!
The condos theest deals. I never can understand why people bid so much on the hotel rooms. Some day I'll get teh guts to book a cruise on Skyauction, they look like great deals too.

We, too, love SkyAuction. Have used them a few times for Orlando and have been very happy. When you consider you can get a 1200-1500 square foot villa for under $300 for the ENTIRE WEEK, why would I stay anywhere else. Plus all these places were under 10 minutes to Disney World parking lots!! Great deals, just read the fine print carefully.

we are using Skyauction for the 5th time this fall! I got the Hilton Grand Vacation Club for $265 for the week. The best auctions are usually the ready, set, go.

The daily rentals that they have are usually not as great of a deal, and the cruises are so-so.

Just remember, you can't cancel.
