Sky Auction Surcharge Question

Hi, Sorry if this is a stupid question, but any help is appreciated.

Looking to book a SkyAuction vacation rental for a week. Sheraton Vistana.

I am seeing the following:
Date Surcharge (8/31/2018, 9/7/2018, 9/14/2018-9/21/2018, 9/23/2018-9/28/2018, 10/20/2018-11/11/2018) for $75 per unit

Does this mean if I check in on Saturday 9/22, there wouldn't be a $75 surcharge, but If I check in on 9/21 or 9/23 there would be?

9/22 is listed as a valid check in day.

Theoretically, yes, but I have won auctions and the fulfillment page has different dates or fees than what was listed in the auction. Print the auction deals before bidding. They refunded my money with no problems. It just took a few days to get a response from them.

Keep in mind that September is the slowest month. They were auctioning units available
during Sept for very little last year. Many started at $1 with only $20 in fees and some did not get bid up very high.

We are specifically looking at Sheraton Vistana, which is $625 right now. Do you think I should hold off and wait for a better price?

If you are not flexible about where you are willing to stay, it might be worth booking now. If you need to book airfare, booking sooner will save you from worrying. If you are driving and are flexible about where you stay, then I would recommend waiting. I saw the three bedrooms at Reunion and 2 bedroom units at Vistana for sale cheap last Sept, but every year is different.

Some units sold for less than $100. The better units were going between $250-$350 if I remember correctly.

Just wanted to give an update. I decided to wait. I found the resort I wanted for the date I wanted for $399! I will definitely jump on that and not look back.

Glad you waited and got a better deal. The prices and availabilty change so often. Sometimes I wait until the last minute and score a great deal, but it is stressful worrying about it. I love booking ahead at a good rate. Hope you have a wonderful trip!
