We're thinking of going to Skull Kingdom this year -- actually we've talked about going for years, but always chicken out.

Has anyone been? Did you like it? Was it VERY scary? Jumpy?

Hi
We went twice a couple of years ago. The place is as scary as you want to make it! The first time there was only our party and was not too bad, the second time we went in with sereval american girls/women. They screamed and jumped a lot which made our party more jumpy!
I would not take a person in who thinks that The Haunted House is bad!
We enjoyed the place.

well i'm in that jumpy american woman category, but no i don't think the HM is scary, so i guess it would be ok...

is it very dark? can you see at all?

I know it's a long time since we went, easter 2000,
But it was terrifying.
There was us and an American family , DW said her heart was nearly bursting out of her chest.
The London Dungeon was a walk in the park after this.

was not scarry at all. It was kind of lame if you ask me. No wonder there was a sign at the desk when you walk in that says"NO REFUNDS OF ANY KIND" I would have asked for my money back. IMO it was a waste of time and money.

After many (many!!) trips to Orlando I did Skull Kingdom for the first time and found it far more gory than scary. If you have done Universal's Halloween Horror Nights you have some idea what's in store at Skull Kingdom.

They do offer a daytime option with a tour guide and most lights on, but I would hesitate to take children even though it is supposed to be geared toward them. Just too gory for my liking. Good fun for adults if you're in the mood, but I'm not convinced it's for most children under the age of, say, 13.

I wouldn't recommend it. Especially if it isn't a peak season. Go there anytime besides October and there's like 5 people working there. It's pretty mediocre as far as scare factor goes. HHN is a lot more fun, and the defunct Terror on Church Street was a lot scarier.

well if it's just gory, we wouldn't be interested. I'm not into gore, i'm into things that go bump in the night.

So I guess we can pass on that one.
